  1. Definitely no Dustil. He was a arrogant and i hated hearing him talk. I killed him while playing both LS and DS chars.
  2. So you'd spend the entire game fighting a bunch of enemies on the same level as Yoda and Palpatine? C'mon, now. That would be incredibly lame. The Star Wars universe isn't Dragonball Z, where each unprecedented new power level is suddenly met with an even more unprecedented new power level in order to prolong the series. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> KOTOR 1 had plenty of room to grow. The game was artificially capped at level 20. Most likely a Yoda or Palpatine would have been somewhere between level 30-40. From what I know about the D&D third edition rules (Star Wars included), up to level 40 is allowed. The enemies might be a bit of a stretch for the imagination, but it could work. It also appears that Obsidian might allow this for KOTOR 2. NWN: Hordes of the Underdark worked pretty well for levels above 20. I think it could work almost as well for KOTOR 2.
  3. I think that the "survey" would be the only option for players who do not have a KOTOR 1 save file. The game should be developed to allow a user to choose a particular save file. This would accomodate multiple backgrounds for the history. The use of a saved game import utility would be completely optional (if I was developing for Obsidian). I think that if the save contains cheats, then it is the risk of the user of whether or not they want to try and use the file.
  4. If I were developing KOTOR 2, I would allow a user to choose the saved game they would like to import. Of course there would be the option to play without a save. This would work well for Obsidian's "Questions" technique for getting a history.
  5. Maybe there will be KOTOR 1.5 to continue the story, but I doubt it would be too interesting to play because the storyline of KOTOR 2 will ruin it.
  6. I could not agree with you more, DraGontamer. It feels horrible to go through all the work of character development just to have them thrown away. I like your ideas, too. They are really similar to mine. I also think that reading from a saved game would be easy if Bioware shared some of their code with Obsidian. I'm a developer, and it is pretty easy if you know what to look for.
  7. I vote for other. Pull the face from a saved game in KOTOR 1.
  8. I just hope Bastila did not get killed off for this story (Jennifer Hale's voice is Awesome!!!)... Hopefully, KOTOR 2, can read saved games from KOTOR 1 so the history can be dynamically set.
  9. Personally, I would want Bastila back, but since she's not an option  : 1. Canderous - tough, mean, need a good fighter. 2. Carth - he can disappear. I don't need him around with his attitude. 3. Juhani - nothing special, she can go. 4. Jolee - funny, old man. He would be cool, but not as a companion. 5. Zaalbar - nothing special here either, he can go. 6. Mission - she should be 19 in KOTOR 2. Hmmmm, new love interest? :D
  10. Definitely Bastila! Great character voice. I have no idea how Jennifer Hale can do so many good voices. I think Bastila's voice sounds the best of all I have heard. It sucks that Bastila is probably killed off for KOTOR 2.
  11. I think it was cool in KOTOR 1 that there at least some Asian faces and skin color. We really need to have mixed races, too. Half Thai/Half African-American (so Tiger Woods can play), and Half Thai/Half White German (so I can play) :D But all kidding aside, I'm happy that Asians were represented. It helped me feel like I was part of the game.
  12. I definitely hope there are romance interests. It really added another dimension to the game. I also totally agree with saberglow. It does torque me off to think that just five years later that the only surviving jedi is some person that's been hanging out on the outer rim. Since love is not for the jedi, I was hoping that Bastila and (male) Revan, would probably have left together for the outer rim and had a couple of kids. The acceptance of the kids, as 20 year olds, by the jedi council could have been a setting for KOTOR 3. (I all ready think KOTOR 2 will be a hit!). Too bad it looks like Bastila and/or Revan will be killed off for KOTOR 2. KOTOR 2 would be really cool if it could read a saved game from KOTOR 1 so it could get the history that the player created for themself. Mira seems like she probably would be the love interest of the new male jedi character. That could be interesting.
