Just because some players do not enjoy or experience romances doesn't mean that the resources used to create them were wasted. Personally, what I would like to see is non-companion romances. Given the limited number of companions available (I believe the announced number for the current funding level is 5?) having enough variety would be difficult. Why limit yourself to only the characters adventuring with you? There's a hold world out there; there must be SOMEBODY that likes you...
