  1. guess what, missed it, currently 2 episodes back
  2. Dear god, that's it!!! You have solved the diplomatic impasse, you sir are the great communicator. Almonds and chocholates indeed....
  3. As I recall, no one opposes their civilian nuclear program, but they say that their intentions are not as such hence the offer by the Euros, give them Civilian technology that is heavily heavily monitored and regulated. Which, for the record, Iran laughed at and I still think was ill conceived. My point is that appeasement hasn't worked in the past for these matters and I feel it only encourages such situations.
  4. What, because kumquatq3 didn't start off the post by suggesting we invade Iran after practicing battleship diplomacy against China and Russia? I didn't suggest you did. However, battleship diplomacy involves showing off your military dominance to those countries in question in order to force their compliance. There is NO WAY Russia and China declare war over Iran. No way. But again, I wasn't talking about them, nor do I see the need or the situation arise were we would need to flex military muscle. 1. Battleship diplomacy doesn't nessasarily mean actual battleships. So, as you say, using the threat of force eventually. Carrier battle groups in the area, etc, etc. 2. China is in no shape to defeat the US militarly....yet. We couldn't occupy them, but we could beat the living hell out of them. Even on their shores. 3. Wait, are we worried about pissing off a country that's already pissed at us? I vote pissed without nukes, please. Not the UN, Europe. The UN includeds Russia and China, for the record.
  5. Your young yet. Eventually they just become that annonying light that tells you that you were out drinking to late.
  6. 1. I never said invade China and Russia btw, you underestimate our air dominace. 2. Who are we to say they can't have nukes? Just one country I guess. But the UN said they can't too.
  7. as of late, you don't buy Nintendo for a large selection, you buy a Nintendo console because every generation they have the best game of its respective generation (almost unarguably) and few games are as good or as polished as Nintendos FP titles. This generation I would nominate Metroid Prime, Resident Evil 4 (still the best version), and Wind Waker. Tho, all votes are off till the new Zelda hits, which could ironically be the best game of two generations
  8. If that is wrong, I take credit for it with this post: by over 4 times, iirc I thought thats what I read during all that E3 coverage, I couldn't find the article just now when I looked, so I am sticking with iirc.
  9. To be honest.....I never played Yoshi's Island much. Something I should dig up. I just noticed this tho about the new Paper Mario for the Gamecube. Woot, to bad they released this and the new Zelda after the Cube is basically dead.
  10. In Russia, communism didn't fail, you failed communism
  11. Actually, I'd kill for a few good console side scrollers. New Super Mario Bros. is basically making me single handedly by a DS light
  12. a few of those are DC ports/remakes tho
  13. Is that what your bunny would say?
  14. I'm saying we kill a Chimp spy. Nothing illegal about that.
  15. 2 Pikman, 2 Metroids, 2 Zelda, Smash Bros, Mario Kart.....
  16. Why save just one internet when you can save ALL the INTERNETS! Just give me money and I'll do it
  17. Eco-system murder!
  18. That depends, how fun is your Wii to play with? and, of course, third party support is crucial Yes, I hate me too
  19. already sent an email to my congressmen (in my case, women)
  20. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20060516/ap_on_...ea/iran_nuclear Diplomacy isn't exhausted, but it is unlikely to succeed at this point in my mind, but if it ultimately fails..... sanctions, sanctions, sanctions If Russia and China won't, battleship diplomacy, then war. Otherwise you will be going through this every time some country makes a run for the bomb, and if N.Korea has taught us anything, it's appeasement and IAEA monitering don't work.
  21. I remember reading somewhere that they planned it this way with a number of big titles coming after the launch. I think they said they were doing this to hopefully avoid the game droughts that the Gamecube had. Release all your games at launch but then not have anything for the next 6 months and thereby nothing to hype up the console. If you space them out then you have something to hype up and keep the console fresh in the mind of the public. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Fair enough.
  22. everytime I try to think of why one system will win, I come up empty handed. The 360 has it's lack of line-up and lack of appeal to non-US consumers, but good power for a decent price. The PS3 is just so ****ing pricey, has similar thin line-up (it is new), but it is the leader of the last gen with all the bells and whistles you could ask for. Except there isn't a single blue-ray dvd out.... The Wii....well the name hurts a bit, many big titles missing launch, not nearly as powerful as the other systems, but it's got Zelda on launch, the controller, and will be signifigantly cheaper. all three are basically a wash in terms of online support, imo, but the 360 is the only one that has proven anything so it has the edge. I dunno, anyone who says they know is REALLY just guessing (this includes myself).
  23. Dark, twisted, evil things that would hurt your soul to even look at. it's a collection of her favorite hades quotes
  24. I've spent about an hour total playing Oblivion, so not an expert, it seems like it might be a fun game but I wouldn't call it a classic or anything. So, when I say it's the "killer app", I mean it as it's the best they got right now in terms of public perception in terms of quality and gaming reviews. Most of the other 360 "killer apps" fizzled: Perfect Dark 0 The Outfit Project Gotham Racing 2 Dead or Alive 4 Kameo Elements of Power Only Fight Night 360 seemed to be well received
