  1. At the moment? I'm just enjoy the multiplayer; the combat is fun but I couldn't be bothered dictating the direction in conversations (Or just skipping it). I don't really care for the whole "But you don't get any items out of it!"'; as long as the character I'm playing is geared enough to do more damage than tickle the enemy I'm happy.

  2. Which sadly means he's more of a "Me too" sort of character :(

It's kind of a pity he isn't that relevant to the plot (When compared to the other three) even though he was a rather cool character (Both abilities and dialogue). Then again, Lucas is sort of like that but him being directly related to a "Head" of the Legion makes him a little bit more related than Reinhart.

  3. Tried using the health regain ability? Hold block and activate the first skill. It lets you gradually heal up to half of your maximum health when activated.

You can also activate those abilities by pressing 4, 5 and 6. For Lucas (Or how I fondly call him "Sword guy") 4 is Heal (Like everyone), 5 is +20% armor (With the choice to up block or damage reflection) and 6 is Focus rebuild (Damn useful for a two hander Sword Guy)

  4. There is a "mute" option in game when it comes to mics but I don't think you can mute your own mic; just other people. It's in the "Mutiplater" tab on the escape menu.

Not being able to bring in and level your own personal avatar - should a slot be available for that class - is an omission, I feel, that will cost this game a long-term player base of dedicated fans.

I do believe there is a level limit much lower than that of Diablo but with the way this game goes I can agree with the direction Obsidian chose. While you want multiplayer you don't want someone dragging in their level 30 friend to complete the campaign for them while they are "just taken along for the ride". Instead you can scale things to the "intended" level area. What I dislike is that your using that players build; which could be a mixture of different playstyles making up to make one shoddy character.

  5. Yes, but being the leader of your own faction doesn't necessarily mean you are restricted in any way, only not being able to ally with the single nemesis/faction of the main story line.

I haven't played that much yet but I would like to be able to overthrow the anachronistic Queen of the Royalists and institute a republic like Stonebridge, is that for example possible?

You're an army of 4 men and already trying to overthrow an army?

Give it some time; they hint something like that at the end as DLC

    .

  6. Well... There is a point to mutliplayer; playing it with friends. If you were to play through the entire campaign with him he would be able to dictate how his character would level.

But when it comes to just joining a random guys game; yeah... You play it because you want to (And a human should technically be better than the AI). The issue with that is your playing their build of that character; that character could be a poorly done mish-mash of skills which is poorly set out and/or badly geared (Hey, some people forget to gear up the NPC's they don't use often). Then there is also the other issue of the character being a different playstyle to what your used to; for example with Lucas: You could have built him to use Earthquake more often than not but the player could have geared him to use Blade Wind -> Charge (For the Bleed damage synergy).

The gear thing might be a little difficult but the whole talent points? Couldn't he just be "Respecced" every-time someone plays that character with the previous host-set build put into cold storage for the moment?

  7. Nope. It's a touchy subject as to whenever Obsidian's Dungeon Siege format should have it, though. I am leaning towards no. This isn't Diablo or any of its offspring, it has a particular style of gameplay that is best compared, in principle, to a hybrid game like Mass Effect.

As such, I think Obsidian should focus on making the core experience as strong as possible with no distractions outside of it such as a well balanced and designed NG+ mode.

Well, I can understand making it more difficult by increasing monster abilities but it would still be rather cool to just replay the regular game with your original character; esp. if everything was just scaled "up" to your level. Mass Effect had a "New Game+"; sure it didn't add anything new but all monsters damage/hit points scaled with your level (With you as a character only gaining greater flexibility when it came to level progression)

  8. The Couch gaming thing is great; much better than having a split screen while playing this game with a friend but when that isn't the case I would say give the person a screen of their own. Although, to be a backseat developer still keep a leash on how far the players can be on each other but keep it at a respectable distance.

  9. After finishing the game (BTW; the ending was awesome.

Couldn't help but think; "Well damn; shall I proceed in tickling that to death now?"

) I found it slightly odd; there was no New Game+ Save; not to mention no "Endgame" save for future DLC either (Or at least it didn't show).

It would be rather cool/interesting if you were able to "up" the difficulty by monster scaling and giving them a few more abilities (F.ex,

the monsters the final boss spawns are not 'sucked up' after he goes into the weakened state

    )
