  1. ^^ same here.

ive got my card connected via dvi to my monitor, and via hdmi 1.4a cable to my samsung 32in tv.

games with controller support i play lying on my bed infront of my tv. anything else goes on my monitor. i switch between both at will by double clicking an icon on the desktop. easy.

Almost makes me want to upgrade my PC! When I have a spare

  2. any DLC ill get as long as it isnt like the limited edition dlc which just added some weapons to your main characters inventory.

thats boring. at least make us work for the stuff.

a new game+ possibly. id love to wade through the game again just blasting my way through easy enemies or on hardcore.

a survival arena mode where you can take your endgame character to and see how many waves you can plow through. maybe with checkpoint saving, new loot etc.

I too would quite happily pay an extra

  3. New suggestion then:

    More appearance changing armor.

As long as we're talking about DLC and not a patch, then I see that being pretty feasible. The more I think about it, the more I have trouble imagining that the dev's will be able to patch things like the camera and save system as it's probably at the core design of the game. It'd be like a butterfly effect of re-coding, change one thing and have to change another five. I think a lot of it depends on whether Square Enix are prepared to give them the resources to do it.

  4. I think the OP makes a really strong point: Read where he talks about his first impression as a PC gamer of the controls. This is a widespread sentiment. It is cool that remappable controls is coming down the pipeline for PC players.

EDIT: If the OP's 3 main cons were remedied the game would be greatly improved.

It'll be interesting to see what the dev's have to say about it. I can only assume that they're awaiting the NA launch to see how it is received before going public with any statements, patch details or DLC idea requests.

  5. I always felt like depth in combat can come from more than just pushing buttons, but it can also come from pushing buttons too. Depth could come from the way different builds play into combat. Depth can also come from having a super robust combo/blocking/weapon system like Ninja Gaiden.

A game for me can be completely turn based and require you to only push a couple buttons at your leisure but still have depth ...

Turn based RPG's are quite deep anyway, Fallout 2 was incredible.

  6. Paper Doll in the inventory screen so we ould see all of our gear on our characters while we are in the inventory as we switch out armor and weapons.

(You guys already listed many nice suggestions no need for me to repeat them so I just picked one that hadn't been mentioned). Fix the gimped MP though please.

That would be a good feature, but mostly the appearance of your character doesn't change a great deal aside from weapons and shields. There are variations, but they're subtle.

  7. See this will make the game worthwhile as a single player title (the 4 characters being way different). And even though I'd rate the game somewhere in the 60's, just for having such a streamlined feature set, I might end up really digging the SP experience. Many people around here seem to think that someone with a critical viewpoint is just a hater. It needs to be understood that soeone can really enjoy a game and really criticise it as well.

I'm loving the SP. I'm dreading it ending TBH. It is shorter than a lot of RPG's, but there's not as much dialogue. There's tons of lore if you like reading up on the history of the world, but the action is where it's at for me. Adding dodges and blocks really benefits the experience (as opposed to click until creature is dead).

  8. It's still fun to play through with each character to try out their abilities right? I mean I have 16 sacred 2 characters (most are lower level but still fun to try out new builds) ....

I've had a quick dabble with two of the characters and they play completely differently and they are both fun. As for replayability, though, I can't say until I've finished it. I've replayed after getting halfway through and it seems fine, there's plenty of action and enough scope with the customisation and loot to keep things relatively fresh.

  9. I am afraid to see the camera working in co-op :(

Havent played in 4 players yet.

Well, give it a go. This is only my opinion, so you may quite like it...

I doubt I will like it, friend. The last games I played that are similar to DS3 in terms of Gameplay were Sacred 2, Fable 3 and Two Worlds 2, and both didn

  10. Well... A random dungeon generator would be bloody brilliant; just rooms upon rooms of bland monsters being throne at you.

Campaign and story first, of course and yeah... Don't do a Bioware and release "OVERPOWERING ITEM PACK!"

Oh God yeah, random dungeons would be awesome. Doubt that will happen, though. Probably quite a lot of time required to code that.

  11. When I purchased the retail version I didn't realize, that STEAM is involved.

I buy real existing DVDs instead of a download for a reason, e.g. to have patches available when they are released by the publisher.

Most of us here know, what I mean:

DVD-owners can patch, while STEAM-customers (and those of other download-sites) wait partially for WEEKS until the respective version

for them is ready. But now even DVD-owners seem to suffer the same fate.

How will it be handled with DS III? Can we download and apply the patches from OBSIDIAN directly or have we got to wait, until STEAM

    bothers to make it available?

I haven't used Steam since Half Life 2 lol. I just remember getting it when I didn't have an internet connection. Couldn't play it until I moved house!
