During testing, we found a statement, you need to make sure you are saved without being on your buggy, I put mine in the nest then saved. Then you can load that save and stay on the character screen untill all players are waiting. the Host starts the game, when we join, they will pop up again, but you can just " accept" and play as usual.

(I'm copying somebody else's op from steam, that's also affecting my wife and I) was loading my save (that I played 30 minutes ago, on old patch, but we quit game and it updated automaticaly). My mate wants to join. Whe he is joining I'm prompted to pick my perspective once again. Then, I'm teleported back to the base. He is near the Statue (we were doing quest together). My autosave is overwritten with me in base. Loaded previous one but same story: I'm teleported back. What's worse, when (during the second perspective pick) I press ESC, I can select difficulty. Getting back to perspective and I'm asked for the world name. This results in creating a new world. Left game, as I don't want to corrupt my save. Hopefully it can be fixed soon. Hopefully they patch this. #1 Melyssande1 hour ago Same issue except when my friend joins the shared world I die by misadventure and it has renamed the world. #2 Fluffypinkbunny22 minutes ago having same issue, husband and i trying to play, as soon as he joins it kicks me to character select and he is able to get in but falls through the world. then i am unable to log in prompting me to make a new world save

This also happened to me, my son said he saw something fall through the ground, but ofc we have no way of getting to it

FYi my wife and me were getting disconnected today, her client didnt show an update was needed mine had already updated, took a little bit of troubleshooting to determine it was a client update issue. just saying that's what helped us. there was no warning that the world was a different version until I had it loaded on my computer (the newer client) it probally wont help others, but it helped us. ALLY HOOPS!
