  1. I didn't use Notepad ++, have an old version of ultraedit. I just loaded my save with it to look, you can search and see the 3 instances of Outfit but not sure how to edit these files or what settings to use and at default setting they have the Hex shown as Nul.
  2. Tuxedo is 04, in your save game, so search for Outfit, there are 3 places. First is Override outfit set to 04, next is the standard safehouse hub outfit (the game overwrites if you put the Tux here ), last is UseOverrideOutfit this should be set to 01, to activate. It's too bad we can't change the actual safehouse hub outfit to Tux, this means you can't just wear the Tux in between missions, it's on all the time. It might be fun to play through a Tux in every scene. I don't see anyway to change the Stats of the Tux
  3. How should we handle Spoiler fix suggestions in this thread, just Tag them? Option to disable the Dialog Timer, since I read they are based on each cutscene and not independent. Quick Save, oh wait a million people already asked before me. Seriously who ever thought it was a good idea NOT to have a Quick Save should be Drawn and Quartered. Hey how about putting someone who ACTUALLY plays on a PC to work on controls? Unlock the Skills so we can actually pick and choose our Agent Skills at least on Operative or make a new setting. Next and Previous Skill keys, additionally Next and Previous Gadget keys, but any PC gamer could tell you this. An option to turn of those damn Bouncing Icons as and example on the Ladders, geezz nothing like Giant Bouncing Icons to set the mood.
  4. Actually all I have had to do to get by this bug twice, was to quit the game REBOOT. Load the Autosave which starts you from there at the second position and then DON'T get anyone, just sit there till he comes out from behind the tree and get him first. I think it's caused by a memory leak, which is why you have to Reboot, to clear the previous memory settings.
  5. ok thanks, seems all I had to do was go back to my save before starting the mission and then targeting the bugged guy first, then worked fine. I did have the intelligence and I quit the game and restarted it in case it was some type of memory leak issue.
  6. Can you just tell us how your getting past this point, then we don't even need to upload saves, please?
  7. I have found the biggest problem with all the graphics whether it's mouse lag or the ticking issue when streaming or AI spawns is from Bloom and High Quality Bloom, once disabled 90% of the issues disappear. Can anyone else with a PC verify this? The problem is, when you disable both Bloom settings, it prevents several UI Menus from working correctly. Normally Bloom settings don't prevent UI Menus from working, never seen it in Unreal before anyway. Since I am not a programmer I can't tell maybe the UI Menus whether the menus are using VB or maybe NETFramework. If anyone else can confirm this then at least Obsidian would know where to look for a fix, for the majority of PC performance issues. Any tips on how to get the Menus working with OUT Bloom settings? Btw the game looks a LOT better without Bloom and DoF on. Why Blur out the wonderful textures, the Artists spent so much time creating? Boggles the mind. Thanks for any tips.
  8. player1 it doesn't in my game, well afaik. Every time you get to a Forced dialog/Save/Check/Update point your Save gets overwritten. In my game they only use and Autoupdate ONE file, defualt.sav. This at least in my game prevents me from going back if a mistake, bug, AI or bad design causes an issue. Maybe there is a bug preventing mine from working correctly, but at least what I am doing prevents problems. I thought not only is my experience a common problem but one Obsidian actually intended to design. They are intentionlly trying to prevent the Players from being able to Save anytime, they talk about it interviews even. Either that or I need more sleep due to hallucinations.
  9. Probably but from the looks of things, they only key Hard Saves with Safe Houses, so you wouldn't know which Save you were loading unless you tracked them by Time and Date. I really didn't look too hard actually since I just started playing and would like to finish the game once. I am sure we will see some editing tools after about a week, maybe be able to edit weapons, ammo, tech and gear, similar to Quarn's Coalesced Compiler from ME2 but I imagine everyone is trying to complete a game.
  10. My Save System Make a Save folder here Documents\Alpha Protocol\Checkpoints\Saves, then every time you want to make a save, Alt-Tab and in Documents\Alpha Protocol\Checkpoints COPY the "default.sav" to your new Save folder and rename it, here's an example of mine. Start.sav PreTechTraining.sav PreWeaponsTraining.sav PreCovertTraining.sav PreInterrogation.sav SaudiArabiaStart.sav Airfield 1.sav AirField 2.sav Tower.sav And so on. Then when a broken or buggy bit happens all you do is copy your save to Documents\Alpha Protocol\Checkpoints, Delete default.sav and rename your COPIED save file to default.sav , it will save you lots of headaches and frustrations. Good luck.
