This game is not bad at all. People who played it and not liked it are usualy 12 year olds. Game is not polished, not perfect, but still fun to play (read gamers critics on gamespot). If you have enjoyed Deus ex, you will like this one. I have finished this game four times in a week. And I will play it again. There are issues, that somewhat limit the gaming experiance, but none of them are gamebreaking, if you are capable to adept to the situation at hand. Fair 7.5 game with wasted potential for epic game. If only....

Ocasional mouse problems, sometimes enemies get alerted without cause ( machine gunner at airport), sometimes sneaing does not work porperly, but none of this is really gamebreaking.

Totally agree. Deus ex still is one of my all time favorite games. Alpha protocol is simply fun to play (I am playing third gamethrough since sunday) just can't stop playing it. Yes, it should have been polished, had more different weapons, animations should have been better (holster your weapon), better NPC AI, more content (would love to see Scarlet as handler) but still this game is fun to play.

Rating Dragons age: Origins with 9.5 (considering what was promised by Biware and final product, which could be simply called NWN3) tells everything. Hyping descent games as pure gold, and dissmising promising games as total crap is at least unfair. AP hit the top rang in most popular and it puts the smile on my face seing 6.0 rated game on top. But still. I would wish Obsidian would make AP2 way better than this one. Polish the game, put more content, improve AI and you have One of the best games ever IMHO.

(sorry for my poor english) I have great time playing this game and think this could be one of the best games ever, if Obsidian would take their time and polished the game, before shiping it. For me it is more fun playing AP than , for instance, Dragons Age (same game as everything made by Bioware since NWN) and has greater replay value. It seems to me, like everything is in the game, but nothing done as it should be. I was expecting something like Deus ex (at least hoping for it). In year 2010 this game should be done better. Still great fun. Most of bad reviews have their point, and if deus ex is 10, than AP deserves no more than 6. But the way games are today, AP gets fair 7.5. At least in my book.
