  1. What do you guys think of adding a new proficiency just for conjured weapons? That means the devoted/conjurer battlemage would suck unless using conjured weapons. I'd say this would call for balancing the duration of summoned weapons because if you could just conjure a weapon and be good for the entire combat would nullify the negatives of the devoted subclass. I think this could lead to interesting tactical decisions and resource managing.
  2. One more update: I quit the game to post my last reply, went to Nvidia and downloaded the latest drivers for my card (version 197.45 win7 64bit) and tried to run the game again. Surprise, surprise, it crashed! I then proceeded to uninstall all drivers and let Windows install default ones (don't know which version, anyone?) and after a restart the game was running fine again. Hope this helps.
  3. Quick update: Installed Windows 7 64bit Ultimate (had it in the box for months now, AP was a perfect excuse for dusting it off), installed avast, all security updates, all optional updates, restored my Steam backups, let Steam install VC++ and DirectX and the game is now running as smoothly as it can. I'm blaming the problem on my year old system and all jumbled installations I had to make along the way.
  4. @Tigranes Nice to know, at least it makes the problem somewhat easier to narrow down. There are people playing the game just fine on 64bit systems though, so it's still quite a mystery. This issue pushed me to upgrade to Windows 7 (64bit though). I'll finish setting it up properly, try to run the game then update y'all here. Here's hoping it all goes well.
  5. Same problem here, running Windows XP64 (starting to really hate the bugger). Specs: Intel Core2 Duo @2.80GHz GeForce 9600GT 4MB RAM Steam Version This is actually the second time this happens, first time was with Space Siege, another game published by SEGA that came bundled with AP through the preorder (sad coincidence). I'd say the copy protection scheme used is the culprit, but it's just a hunch at this point.
