  1. I wonder if what is going on is an internal SEGA vs. Obsidian thing. SEGA may want to push the game out to try and compete with the heavy holiday game market, while Obsidian remembers being pushed to fulfill a release date before (KOTOR 2) and having the game, while still good, not be as great as it could have been with proper delays, testing, and the actual product being totally finished.
  2. Yes, there will be a laundry mini-game. and No, detergant will not be easy to obtain. kill the wrong contact and you wont get any detergant, thereby forcing you to be the smelly agent in the field, or *GASP* you could only be able to get bleach, there by ruining all your non-white clothes, leaving them spotty, unless you master the art of the mini game and let the washer fill with water, add bleach, and then add clothes. also, bleach stained clothes make you easier to spot in stealth.
  3. maybe the govt shouldnt have disavowed you then. sanctimonious ****
  4. i think this, along with the unlockable veteran mode, makes the thought of additional playthroughs a certainty. attempting to make the game different in ways other than just how you approach it is a novel idea. it will keep me coming back for more, which will help, since this game is being released during a period of time with far too many games competing for my attention. and the thought of the game being harder, not just for lack of skills, but because people dont take you as seriously, due to inexperience is a lot different than replaying say...fallout 3 becasue i didnt use energy weapons the first time through, but damn near everything else unfolds the same way other than killing mutants with lasers instead of bullets
  5. Like Deus Ex, this is the way I'd like to see a "pacifist" game play. Actually utilizing skills to avoid combat instead of the MGS "shoot 'em with tranqs if you can't avoid 'em". if it is just a stealth/tranq ammo shooting variant, I probably wouldn't be as likely to try it on a seperate playthrough. especially as the recruit and veteran modes seems as though they would already offer different ways to approach the game. although a recruit that doesnt attempt to kill anyone would be interesting. kudos to obsidian for trying to provide something different either way.
  6. I hope it isn't. Like Kevin Lynch, I was looking forward to some serious playtime with this game before DA:O came out. If this delay is real, it will suck because I will have two potentially awesome WRPG's competing for my playtime.
