  1. I was able to start saving my game again as well after the new patch. The unfortunate part that I'm trying to fix now is if it's possible to update the folder to only contain the actual saves, rather than all of the bloated 1,200+ files. Now that I'm allowed to save, my save folder is going beyond 1GB, which makes me think they might have increased the limit. But I would like to clean up the save folder itself, which realistically should still be around 20-25MB, rather than 1GB+. I've saved my game, and then deleted every folder that did not update based on the Date Modified column. The game continued to run fine, load fine, and save fine, after I deleted over 1,200 of those folders. But once I exited the game, and restarted, the game sync'd with the cloud and just downloaded all of them again. If there was a way to overwrite what is saved on the cloud, I think it would fix the problem since I could just delete the unwanted folders and upload that cleaned up folder to the cloud. Instead, the cloud keeps syncing the bloated folder to my computer.
  2. Does anyone know what the wgs folder in SystemAppData inside the Microsoft.Maine folder is for? It looks to be save games, but those exist in the User/Saved Games folder don't they? The wgs folder seems bloated with a ton of saves like my Saved Games folder and I was wondering if I could delete them. The folders are not 100% identical to the actual Saved Games folder.
  3. Yeah I just reinstalled the game, and got stuck in an infinite loop with the Cloud Sync window "Syncing your data with the cloud" popup. It would popup for a second, close, and another would popup. I managed to restart enough times and put one of my back up folders in, and I was able to load my most recent manual save. But like you said, once I quit the game and restarted, the cloud save sync overwrote it and it was back to a random set of saves that are ~10 (in-game) days behind my true last manual save.
  4. I think Steam has an option to disable cloud saves right? I'm not sure if we can transfer save files between Game Pass and Steam, but if it were possible, I was thinking of disabling Steam cloud save, putting my old "backup" in, then re-enable Steam cloud to sync my "backup" to the cloud. Then transfer the new sync'd saves to the Game Pass version.
  5. This is on Windows Game Pass. Is it a known issue yet with the Max Save Files Used problem? I'm unable to save because the folder has hit 1GB, which is supposedly the limit. However, my game only has the default 3 autosaves, and a dozen or so manual saves. I've deleted the save folder, and pasted in an older folder which had no known issues. This folder is 18mb in size, and was from September. I can place it into the Grounded save directory no problem. But when I go to the game and select Load, it cloud syncs over it, and it puts back the problem folders, which is this. 1GB in size and over 1,000 folders. I have multiple instances of the backup save folders, and no matter what older backup folder I place into the Grounded directory, the game keeps syncing over them with the same set of cloud saves. The cloud sync itself isn't even of my latest save (the one where I finally got Max Save Files Used error). The cloud sync is a few in-game days behind, at a point that I knew I was still able to save. Yet, the Max Save Files used error remains.
  6. Heres images of my two folders. First one is the folder I'm trying to put back to the save directory. This folder is much older and never had any issues. Here is the one that keeps getting sync'd from the cloud, which overwrites the folder above that I just copy-pasted. I don't understand the drastic increase in save games. I only keep about 3 auto-saves in the game. And I've kept my manual saves to a bare minimum, only keeping about a dozen total between my 2 playthroughs.
  7. This is definitely an error on their end. I tried deleting the save games in my folder, but it just keeps cloud syncing them when I load the game up again. There are over 1,000 folders that I end up deleting, and all of them get cloudsync'd back in. I have kept the number of saves I have to a minimum. When I go in-game and go to the Load menu, there are less than a dozen save games I can choose from. I have no idea why it's creating 1,000+ folders in the save directory. Nothing is fixing it. I can't save my game at all because of the Max Game Files Used message. Edit: So I had multiple instances of the save folder saved. (I back up the entire folder every day or two). I put back an older folder which I know for sure did not have any issues. Now the game cloud syncs over it each time, with the 1,000+ save folder.
  8. Any idea why my save folder on PC (Game Pass) has over 1,000 folders, all containing a Data file in them? I also can't save in game because it says "MAX SAVE FILES ESED" which I'm guessing is a typo.
  9. My game does the same thing now. It freezes for 22 seconds now after building anything. Deleting any structure results in the same freezing. The freezing used to only be a couple of seconds, but as I continued to build, the duration got longer and longer. At over 20 seconds, I don't think it's worth attempting to build anything anymore, which is gamebreaking in my opinion. Since people will naturally build larger and larger bases as their save progresses and they get more resources.
