  1. The user interface is crap, even at the time it was released, it was crap. If you can't get over it, you won't enjoy the game. It took me a while, I put it down after 15 mins of first playing it as I was killed by the 1st enemy I faced because I didn't know how to kill it. However I went back to it after a couple of days and slowly played it learning how it worked, after a while you forget the UI and just enjoy a really great game. -edit- To another poster, I still love Quake 2. I'm not sure what so special about it, I played Quake a hell of a lot until Quake 2. But I can't play Quake anymore as it's just not any good. Quake 2 rocks! As does Half-Life 1 of course. PC Gamer UK had that at the no.1 spot for 5 years and only took it down to give other games a chance, I think.
  2. Turn based is just a game mechanic, I know that people like it but to me it was just how the engine processed combat. Not necessary for a Fallout game, to me. Fallout 3 had some real great moments to it and I really loved those moments, but they were spread out with cheese, too much cheese.
  3. Hardly that simple. Just that those people who love the Fallout series want to see those traits they loved brought into the next incarnation of the game, however Fallout 3 was lacking in some of those aspects. I still very much liked Fallout 3, but it doesn't follow the theme of Fallout and Fallout 2 very well. I feel they can keep a lot of what Fallout 3 is, but add some depth to the game. Something a bit more substantial to it.
  4. Here are most games: Move Aim, Shoot, Move, Aim, Shoot, Move, Open Door Accelerate and turn, de-accelerate and turn Click, click, click, click, click. Games are what you make out of them. Fallout 1 & 2 have some REAL problems. First one you encounter is the UI. Fallout follows this path: Wander, wander, shoot in turn, wander, wander, talk to stranger, get quest, wander, wander, shoot in turn.
  5. I would like to see some semblance of agriculture, even if a guy mentions caravans bringing it in from a town we can't visit. Just some way of explaining how people survive.
  6. Duplicate post at Bethesda... well not with this comment: Gotta ask: What about children? What about drugs? What about sex? If it is in Vegas the last 2 are in, however children in Vegas = Bad honeymoon. Also: What about food? What about toilets? What about 99% of water being heavily radiated yet people still live? What about people actually working? Will there be Viagra or can I be a fluffer?
  7. I'd like to see less wandering super-duper mutants, strange animals, mis-functioning robots, bandits and slavers. Instead have a civilised feel to it. An organized environment with farmers, builders, doctors, carpenters and so on but organised by criminals, pimps and corrupt politicians so it has the New Reno feel to it and the mafia has some control of outside area's. However if you go to the borders/outskirts of Vegas you get the mutants, monsters, crazy robots and under ground bunkers. Making you want to explore to find these wonderful/bizzare things, however you still get the core story based around scumy humans.
  8. Have I understood correctly from reading published posts that Bethesda were working on this as a DLC or expansion and then decided against finishing it, they then approached Obsidian to see what they could do with it? As such it's Bethesda vision but Obsidian's execution. Is this correct?
  9. Registered today to say, woooooo!!! I loved KotoR2 I loved MotB and I am looking forward to hearing more about this! Have Obsidian developers spoke about this yet?
