In the hallway just before you enter the secret lab if you look to the right at the window you will notice the last section where the window meets the wall is a different color. If you are looking at the correct section there will be purple smoke directly on the other side. If you try to jump or walk through the different colored section of the window you will eventually get outside of the playable area. I will attach a picture of the window.
