  1. More than certain that, somewhere in this thread, this has been asked but: Is/was there any effort in the writing to make being "dark" a little more than just being a bully? It seemed a lot of the "evil" options available to a person leveled out somewhere at "thug" rather than being a bit more epic. I'm not sure how easy it would be to work those kinds of things into the KotOR format, but perhaps a few more Machiavellian options would fit better with a lot of fans ideas about what being "Sith" means. Oh, and has the "Darth" titling been fixed this time around, to fit with the generally accepted canon that the "Darth" title did not originate until faaaaar after the events depicted in the KotOR series thus far?
  2. "Veteran" of the Mandalorian wars could mean that he served aboard a ship. my guess: You were a Padawan on Dantooine just before the Mandalorian wars began. Lured by Revan's charisma and a youthful urge to fight for truth, justice, etc. etc., you left your training mid-step to go with him to battle. You fight, you win. But something about the war disillusions you, or maybe scares you, and you become unsure whether you're really Jedi material. You take off, in "self" exile, to rethink things. Along the way you fall out of touch with your training. You can still use the Force, but the disciplines taught to you at the Academy quickly leave you as you're out of practice. I don't think we're going to see Kyle Katarn 2 here. We're essentially going to begin with (in d20 terms) a Level 1 Force Adept (regardless of what beginning cllass you choose) who has to re-establish him/herself and their destiny. It *can* work...I just hope Obsidian does it right...
  3. Of course, then there's the bit of Delaware history: the state was founded on December 7th, 1787. December 7th this year happens to land on a Tuesday...maybe I'm reaching but aren't most release announcements made on Tuesdays?
  4. How about beginning as a Padawan? How about a few leaps in time as the game progresses, to make leveling up a bit more realistic? How about more "greek tragedy" elements? A more epic feel to it all? Less "bully" evil, and more slippery slope, "moral consequence" evil? Think "insidious," rather than "lookee me! evil! eeeevil!" A lastly: Don't place doors that don't open. I hate that...makes me feel like I'm missing something, even if I know there's literally nothing there...
