EA buys Bioware
In the end, it must be all up to personal feeling to devs, like anything in world is. Some might think it's a good think, some might think it's bad thing... As an employee, they can't really say it sucks, even if they wanted.. or that's how I see it. I guess I just wait and see what will stand in the future. But I'm a bit afraid...

EA buys Bioware
Sorry, I didn't read the earlier posts so what I say might be all old stuff. Please don't hate me for it.. *sigh* As far as I know the BW devs are feeling pretty positive of this. I don't know what the actual agreement holds in it, but I hope it won't affect radically to BW quality.. especially that it wouldn't affect in negative way. There has been many doubts when it comes to Mass Effect trilogy.. I myself find it to be quite shocking. As a fan. In business life, it makes perfect sense though.

What are you playing now?
I'm enjoying Puzzle Quest on DS. I absolutely love these sweet portable games! It's just really annoying when they get into my dreams...

Getting into industry!!!
You wonder how to get into industry? Not really use to go around studios' forums because tips from devs are rare and far between... This is something of personal experience.. I'm an aspiring artist, so take it as you will, but it's more than nothing. And nothing is most what I have got when I have asked from people in industry. Find your own info; nobody will come and offer it to you. Search into it; know your business and where you're getting into. Get skills; you have to have some real talent, some real skills, some real knowlegde.. playing games for fun doesn't qualify you to get you into QA position. Going after desinger/artist position? Get to know game engines. At least one, it's always in-game system and a whole huge plus. Never Winter Nights toolset is one of most popular. It's a great start! There are whole lot of others. Get into mod-group and try it out. Never give up; keep sending portfolios out and learn to market yourself right! Be a team player. Know how to solve problems. Know how to work alone, under pressure and long hours. But most of all... be a team player. Also.. if you get that offer: Know your rights! Couple of links I have found personally to be interesting and useful: http://www.sloperama.com/ http://www.cliffyb.com/rants/ - good read http://docrob.cottages.polycount.com/Industry.html http://www.gfxartist.com/ -for artists mainly http://forums.cgsociety.org/ - for artists mainly ..search for more yourself and hey, if you feel like sharing, share them here. This isn't much, but it might be a whole lot for someone like me. So, hopefully it serves some good.

My best advice: Keep looking for someone to help you out. Write write write and submit applications.

Internships abroad?
Thank you for the reply, I much appreciate it. So, I now know that I don't really need to bother to seek internship in US. Well, less work for me. Thank you. I'm still hoping that Europe is more kind.

The what are you eating and/or drinking thread!
Nothing, thanks to my disordered mind.

Internships abroad?
I can see that people are much interested in this thing.... *sigh* Fine. I'll learn the hard way. And I'll probably be the only one offering advice to others like me once I get that far...
