Here is a Video Interview with Universe at War developers Petroglyph, Who if you didn't know but probably should are Ex WestWood after EA gobbled up and raped them. It has the very first ingame footage released to the public. I've been following this game closely for a long time now, well I've had to for the site I work on, But this is the game I'm most looking forward to and genuinely excited about. In a couple of previews the writes have likened it to Star Craft in creativity, diversity between factions and fun. So this could be something to look out for. Keep in mind this is still the pre-alpha build of the game so alot of things will be fixed up and probably changed before the game is released.

I read it yes, a lot of it is very exaggerated like the amount of people who left Sega in the Sammy merge and some things are flatout not true. Yu DESIGNED a game just last year called Phy-Phi for the Arcades which was very innovative and as for what he said about Streets of Rage I'd like to think I know a lot about Sega and I'm in touch with whats going on but I've never heard that before and neither have anyone else on the website I work at. There is also a good chance that a new Streets of Rage is in development right now. To be fair this article was written by a nobody on a website I've never heard of before. Some RTS developer should tap into that, StarCraft is very outdated now. Sure it was a god game but I think its been taken over now. If an RTS developer pushed a new RTS out there it would take off I'm sure.

What are you talking about.. Suzuki is one of the biggest developers at Sega and does LOADS of stuff.. Not to mention the only really important employee to leave was the Rez developer Tetsuya Mizuguchi.

I don't like the way Blizzard are going, All there time and effort goes into World of War Craft now If the bring out ANOTHER MMORPG they will be even more swamped. I'm sure they'll continue to role in the money of the socially retarded but its not my thing.

Lets just get back on topic. I cant wait for this event I'm looking forward to news on both the Aliens games FPS and RPG I'm glad its just Aliens and not predator. I also hope to hear more about the new Universe at War RTS, Typing of the Dead 2 and the new RPG by Obsidian which isnt yet announced.

"Man, I love fanboyism <3 " But seriously, I know Obsidian are good developers and the problems with KotoR2 was beyond their control I was just proving my point. Just because I'm a 'fanboy' of a different company doesn't mean I'm any more of one then people here. Edit: And I think that Sega and Obsidian working togeather is a brilliant conbination, Sega will give them the time and support they need to make really epic RPG's and they will help Sega become more known in the PC area which is what they are trying to do. Its a perfect match.

I could have said the same thing when people were naming Obsidian as the number 1 RPG developer when all they have made so far are 2 mediocre RPGs. But I let it side. Lets hope they can get there act together for Aliens and beyond. All I've said is plan old facts.

Then you must be deaf Atari are a completey different company then what they where when they had consoles bar the name. Sega has pretty much the exact same workforce as they did in hardware bar 1 or 2 people who left in the merge. Atari are useless now and Sega are going places.

It may have been a take over but in the end they Merged the 2 companies with a holding company SegaSammy Holdings, Sega and Sammy work as two different companies. That article exaturated things a lot, For example, generally Sega still make a lot of great games Its really only 'Sonic Team' the guys who make Sonic and a few others that have really gone off the deep end and I would love them to be disbanded. I couldnt disagree more, As long as pretty much all of the original Sega team from before the merge are still around Sega are still around to. Despite a couple of the good guys walking out after Sammy messed Sega around most of them like Suzuki, Naka and Kodama are still around. Your right that Sega took a blow when they 'merged' with Sammy but its also a good thing because Sammy are rolling in money. Despite Sonic being totally trash they have some awesome games in development now they have started to find there feet again and are making good moves like working with great western developers such as Obsidian.

As for why I've played them like I said up there, my girlfriends brother who I see alot is Final Fantasy crazy hes always got one of them on the go. I smell that this topic is NEVER going to get back on topic after that one. I might have just started WW3 in here.. well, bed time for me.

Sorry to dubble post, To HurlShot I'm 20 and no I havent played them all, I played a cupple of the old 2D sprite and most of the 3D ones no Spin offs or any of that. But my girlfriends brother is one of them japanese wana be's and he is crazy about them so I've played pretty much all of them or watched them being played. Oerwinde, To be honest I only know for sure which one 7 is out of 6,8 & 9 its a blur. 7 was the one I thought was pretty good and one of the others but I really havent got a clue which is which its been years since I had any interest in playing them anyway. All I know is 10, 10-2, 12 and the GameCube one have all been completely rubbish in my opinion. The MMO I didnt even look at.

Every atom of my being is telling me to let this slide, But I'm not going to. I hate Final Fantasy its complete trash and its got slowly worse over time. 7 and 8 where the 2 good ones everything since has been aweful. Its a cash cow and the men look more like woman then real life woman do, who comes up wit this crap.. Main Stream rubbish. Time for me to pull the 'IMO' get out of flame free card. Oh btw, I'm talking about normal RPGs not MMO or Action games with RPG elements.

Just wondering which RPG developers you would say where the best of the lot, say top 5. Oh and I'm talking about western RPGs none of that pansy Final Fantasy stuff.
