  1. Uhh, no.

DS has innovation, more and better games and cheaper price on its side.

Sony tried (and of course, failed) to make portable playstation. Nintendo however, realized that they were making portable gaming machine, and designed it as such

    DS --> PSP

better games ????? dont think so !!!! plus the graphics arent that great ont the ds or atlleast not as good psp's graphics

  2. Why is it exclusive to the PSP?

The PSP is junk and they don't sell all that well in the market compared to DS and even GBA.

The company figures by setting up an exclusive deal for a Star Wars Battlefront game, which are big sellers, they could get people to buy a PSP and the game and hopefully boost sales.

As good as BF games are, they are not good enough to get me to buy a PSP for it alone. I'd essentially be spending $150 plus for a fancy looking paper weight.

But if the game itself does sell good, we could very well see a BF3 for every operating system.

actually i have a psp and they are so much better than ds and gba .... the reason they dont sell great is bcuase y would a parent buy there kid a $150 hand held when they can buy one for $50-$95 ?? there cheap !! sry back on topic renagade squadrin will sell just fine and im surewe'll see a bf3 i the future !!

  3. My ideas...

1 Levels for the force/lightsaber forms so you can become an expert in whatever form you like to use instead of having equal skill at all of them

2 Change it so that your attacks actually look different when you are using different forms, and so when you are doing 4 hits you swing that many times (instead of just twice)

3 Have real time turn based fighting in space. You would have a mechanic class person in your party who could build a ship or just add on laser cannons and stuff. You could to fire lasers, torpedoes, tractor beam, bomb, or dodge. You might have anything from a starfighter to a capitol ship.

4 Have a huge battle near the end of the game with hundreds of soldiers from both sides, like the battle of Geonosis, that you would have to fight through to get to the main boss. (Okay that might cause the game to lag, but it would be cool)

i like these ideas very good that could make the game that much better !!

Also, You should be able to have virtually anyone be your party member. You could pay them or force persuade them or just ask them to join you. You could also get rid of any party member, by killing them or just forcing them to leave.

this is also a pretty good idea but its not a major factor .... if they dont put that in there i wont really care but if they do great!!

  4. After reading this it seems i ddnt get my point across, I'm saying that they make the KOTOR 3 game. But that you have the ability to go Online and just go out in groups of 3 and fight with friends. Not exactly a MMORPG, More like Halo 2 where you go online to fight but it doesnt affect the actual game, Its just for fun to play withother people and show off your characters....

You do realize that they are not talking about making a online game. They are talking about an MMO. MMOs and online games are not that same. Bioware never said it would be KOTOR. But the did say they are making an MMO. And MMOs are not addons like Halo 2.

That said. I am down with idea of an online addition like NWN or Freelancer.

i believe this is what hes trying to say ... that they should make a kotor 3 game instead of an mmo .... but add an online feature

  5. is it possible to update the xbox version without accessing xbox live? I have severe trouble accessing xbox live but I'd like to update Kotor 2 and maybe 1 for the xbox. Is there a way to do this like download it, burn it to a cd from somewhere and put that cd in the xbox? or any other way? thanks for any helpful replies.

Without modding your box - no :)

Hence the cruelty of the restoration project on us console users

    agreed ... rly sucks

  6. No any similar Yuuzhan Vong crap ever again thank you

I have to agree with this, lets see a totally new threat for K3 rather than falling back on lame ideas from the EU please. Your ideas have merit and are logical, but I wouldn't want the Yuuzhan Vong in K3 in any shape for form. (Or Gunguns, Ewoks or superweapons for that matter)

You have my agreement too. When SW was created it was new stuff, it was a galaxy of history and people to expand on. Yet people all too often stick with the same people, the same factors,.... But with a galactic population of trillions, not to mention what those trillions are doing over thousands of years, you would think there was more to the SW universe and it's people than what keeps being used in stories. KOTOR was new and set 4000 years b4 just so they would not get trapped by the same lack of creativity that was befalling SW. It is perfectly OK to use time (but please not time travel), new people, new peoples, new places, new races, new ships and so on.

Also, don't forget that the story is always started with "Long long ago, in a galaxy far far away..." Keep it real folks.

ya agreed ... im bored so im goin to go beat k2 for tha 20th time .........

  7. no they never announced a mmo ... they had a source that told them about the mmo but obviously he was wrong just as well as this rumor could also be wrong but i even seen an article from like around march that said sumthin about bioware making k3 and it possibly coming out around christmas and it being announced by bioware in july after mass effects release . if this rumor is true then k3 should b announced at e3 !!

  8. Towards the end of April we reported that BioWare had formed a new internal studio to create a Star Wars: Knight of the Old Republic massively multiplayer online game.

    Never did that

Earlier this year, BioWare announced the formation of a mini-studio devoted to developing the new Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic MMO.

    Never did that

    SOMEHING-LIKE-THOSE-OTHER-QUOTES-BUT-WITH-DIFFERENT-WORDS-ON-THAT-THIRD-SITE-WHICH-IS-DOWN-APPARENTLY

    Never did that

Oh, and seriously, Pandemic Studios? :x

Uh, hello. They're FPS company :ermm:

actually i read about all that stuff in oxm and cvg magazines !!! and pandemic studios is owned by bioware who is rumored to be creating k3 !!!!!!

I don't understand you people! We are all waiting for kotor III but when someone says that it will come out soon or shows some rumors you say: NO! Bull **** kotor III isn't coming out!

Yeah, that's because we've seen so incredibly many rumours that have proven to be false, so that we don't believe anything of the new rumours that are coming up.

Especially not when they are from sites like the ones dustin19 posted, most of us know from experience that it just can't be true.

A; Whoever is developing the game has been given something like 8 months to create it. K2 took something like 12 months and that was rushed, 8 months would result in a game so short you could put the kettle on and have a cup of coffee ready by the time you finished the game, and it would have so many bugs you could call it Knights of the Old Republic-the ant farm. The only way they could create K3 in 12 months and keep it a fairly good game would be to use the basic K2 engine as is. However, given that an X-box 360 release is almost a given, I would have to ask if the K2 engine would work on that platform, let alone if LA would seriously want to release a game on the 360 with such outdated graphics. This also takes no account of the possibility that K3 could be released on PS3 or even PSP, both would require extra work in addition to just making the basic game.

we've been waiting for this game for 3 years !! who is to say they havent started the developement years ago ??

And during these 3 years we've heard numerous times these same "ZOMG K3 is under developmnt" rumours. Heck, I guess they're closing hundred by now

And those rumours you linked are from more goofy side of great Spectre Of Rumours

ya and g4 is one of the best sites to get info !! o well i gave ya'll info , i cant make ya'll believe it . and i do understand that there has been so many rumors that have come though here that its is hard to believe them after i while but i am keeping my hope up for the game .

  10. Droids Rock!!!

In K1 I used T3 for the entire game, it was almost always my character (soldier/guardian), T3 and whoever else I happened to like at the time.

I tried the same in K2 but his combat effectiveness had dropped dramatically between games so I swapped him out for Bao-Dur. Still liked to use him occasionally though - he was often able to provide passable ranged support.

    are you kidding me?

in K1 T3 was a complete and utter piece of ****

in K2 on the other hand, he was actually fairly decent, and with all the upgrades you/Bao Dur did to him he could get quite powerful

i did prefer HK in K1 than K2 though. He never really got enough feats for me to find him all that usefull

I disagree with the t3 statement (he did however polute a LOT) but Hk in kotor 2 is kinda bad because you dont get him until kinda late in the game...which makes it no fun

it woulda been better to have him earlier in the game !!
