    Thanks for a reply. I've put the saves in BOTH PoE1 and 2 to begin with - to no avail

    Have you managed to find a solution? I'm in the exactly same situation, tried everything, yet can't make the game see the PoE1 saves (completed WM). My PoE1 wasn't bought on Steam but my PoE2 was - but I doubt it should matter here; the folder structure is right there. I don't want to start the game without my old progress - help! :'(

    I have the same problem - all the files are in the correct folder but the game can't see it. Does anyone know if it matters that my PoE 1 wasn't bought on Steam but my PoE 2 was?
