It's easy if you hijack other weapons. You mean that poignard, for instance, would be just another dagger model? Or could this poignard actually be different from a dagger, 20/x3 for instance, and have it's own line in baseitems.2da? I'm not much of an NWN2 modder even though I can type baseitems.2da. I ask here because I've asked in the NWN2 forums, but, nobody is sure. Apparently no CCer has produced complete custom weapons for NWN2, only models.

Finally! Good news! Thx, Rob. That tourney field is something else and Dasaria II sounds fun. -
This sounds very interesting, particularly the weaponry. The AC/Damage reduction stuff, I'm not too sure of. Anyway, I was under the impression that it is not possible to add weapon focus/spec and the other weapon feats to custom weapons, inherited from NWN1. Am I misinformed yet again, particularly on this issue?

How far have you gotten in MoTB?
nicethugbert commented on Rob McGinnis's blog entry in Neverwinter Nights 2 Blog
Played through once and went back to a saved game to replay from the Betrayer's Gate using different dialog choices with the same character. So, I choose other as I have finished MotB multiple times, at least two, but only played all the way through from start to end once. To me, that seems different than playing through multiple times with different toons or same toon different approach. -

A critique of Obsidian from KOTOR to NWN2
nicethugbert replied to actmodern's topic in Obsidian General
I have no problem with the influence system and it's display. I think it makes consequences tangible. The more consequence, interaction, and feedback there is in a game, the more I enjoy it. The more immersive I find it. But, for the sake of those that don't like the numbers poping up, I say, offer the player an option to disable the influence feedback. Incidentally, there is a difference between an influence system and the display of an influence rating or change in influence. If not for the display of influence and it's change, the player would have no idea that an influence system is in play. Open your bug tracking system to the public. -

TGIF That first Sundren screeny is very very nice. NWN2 SF seems to be very faithful to the PnP SF. The swap of uncanny dodge for blindsense 10ft. is the only difference I see. I suspect it's easy to change that. Not that I mind the swap. Clerics and druids get blindsight spell anyway. If The Devs saw this then I'm happy they are paying attention to these details. -

Very good news, thx Rob. Nice work on the custom class, ASoC. You avoid the tide of expectations by not claiming to implement a D&D class. Good to see you guys are expanding the spell system. I'm not a D&D expert but ASoC seems to fit within the D&D system. So, ASoC covers three bases, well, as far as I can tell. We get more, it's with in the D&D frame work, and expectations are not upset. Just don't go over board with the custom classes, etc., or the game may lose it's D&D feel, let alone the fact that some people are very partial to D&D, and D&D being a rich system has a lot to offer, aim high go far and all that. -

All good news, thx, Rob. Tileset texture change, can it be done via plugin? Talernon 2 looks great, but, can we have a non-application PW spotlighted in the next issue? Unless, there are no non-application PWs worth showing off. -

Compared to the WotC picture, Mr. M..., er, the OEI wyvern's wings are too high up. They should be between the hips and neck. The torso should be more pear shaped not cylindrical-like. -

Maybe Mr. MotB is getting old. Perhaps they are unkind to him at the home? EDIT. I do not mean offense with my lame Mr. MotB schtick. It's just that the phrase Funky Chicken comes to mind and that phrase is very harmful to my serious side. The WotC wyvern is not safe from Mr. Funky Chicken either. Hmm, WotC, MotB, ... -
