Any word on which companions are coming back in the expansion? I haven't seen Maia, or Tekehu in the screen shots.
Unless there's some secret bit of info we haven't been told, any of the companions can participate in the DLC.
Beast of Winter is late-ish game content during the main story of Deadfire. It isn't a separate adventure; any party save before the point of no return can start the new quest line.
Thanks!

Is it not in the game? I miss it.

Could someone make a water color out of this?
Thank you.

For those saying "there are consequences" you are misinterpreting what is being said, The Kind Wayfarers were a faction that Pallegina could join, but that ending is not represented in POEII. I thought that it was a bug myself.

Charles Vane for those of you who want to get in touch with your inner pirate.

There is a beta patch right now, and the game updated again today. I have noticed a few bugs, mostly import problems. E.g. Pallegina is not considered to be a Kind Wayfarer, but banished from the Vailian Republic.

Also uh long term once you have a crew of expert or better cannoners/gunners, and a lot of money... Get yourself a junk and a full compliment of Double Bronzers.
You thought ship combat was slow? With that ship, my gunners, and those cannons I typically win every ship encounter in 5-6 moves. I just close to "near" 350, 400-450 is close enough. Do my turn to port or starboard if needed, do a hold order, fire all guns with normal cannonballs once, jibe, hold when done, fire all guns on the opposite side with normal cannonballs again. I probably just won right there.
I fought one galleon with 135 HP once and I had to use a third salvo, but that was the only time. Two would have been enough but two shots hit the sails :/.
I prefer the wyrmtongue canons, because they start fires.

Remember to explain your reasoning.

I'm romancing Maia right now, I need to find shark meat for her parrot. Her romance came about rather quickly. Nothing from Pallegina yet. Has someone tried asking the devs?

I'm getting the Maia flirt really early (male Watcher), I'm hoping for a Pallegina romance, but if not, I was going to try the Maia romance so I'm in a bit of a bind. It would be nice if one of the devs would drop a short guide. Also, I seem to have acquired the bug where the Kind Wayfarer ending didn't port properly. So the game assumes I didn't finish Pallegina's quest. I assume this affects disposition. I should add that when I met Pallegina at the docks with Xoti in my party, Xoti was jealous of my Watcher having known Pallegina (which hints at the Xoti romance).

I have to agree with a lot that @AeonsLegend said. Personally, my motivation throughout the entire game was getting my charcter's soul, and taking care of his companions. Then the soul doesn't even matter, and the factions take the wind out of the sails of friendship and romance (which seemingly account for very little). It's like every motivation that a player might find for the main story, is negated by a later plot point. It's kind of hilarious.
