  1. On this forum a long time ago I got into a big debate with a bunch of idiot skeptics.  My argument was that a light saber could potentially be made with technology we don't know yet...  I got all sorts of harassment and bad moods from people who just can't use their minds. Well, now Harvard says they can help make a light saber. So if it was you giving me trash for that HA!

  2. ANyone who still says this war was valid:

What was the exit plan? lol.

What happens 'after' we check in on this non-existant threat?

The US, fed up with the limp-dicked United Nations bureaucracy, decided to take action to hold Iraq accountable. Some like-minded allies also joined in, don't forget...41 of them.

LOL! Like 37 of them are Islands or countries with no military that have deals with America and owe us something. One of the biggest contributors offered monkies to blow up landmines.... lol. Nice alliance... Not to mention many have opted the 'take us off the list' option. LMFAO! Like Jon Stewart pointed out, we go from 'USA the mighty', to 'take us off the list', telemarketer style. rofl

But I'm curious, are you saying that diplomatic solutions were exhausted, or even close to attempted carefully?

including a corrupt food for oil campaign.

lol. No suprise Halliburton was right in the thick of it...

The US has never gotten very much oil from Iraq, most of Iraq's oil went to EU and Asia.

lol.. Iraq has not been a large provider for US oil in the past. But that does not mean it has not been, or is not an asset now. Iraq has large oil reserves. If they are controled, or burned, they can be made large amounts of money off of. Just because oil from a country goes to like... China for example, doesn't mean it doesn't go through our hands or interests first.

Credible intelligence sources from the US, Europe and Asia all said it was highly likely that Saddam still had WMD, not just the CIA.

lol.. I'm not exactly sure you can call any 'intelligence' agency credible... I imagine close to, if not all, have interests to uphold and/or obtain.

And lmfao@Rosbjerg. Thats a good point. The US violated UN rules by invading Iraq. So both countries violated a UN rule.

Since we violated a UN rule would it be morally alright for like, North Korea to invade America? lol.. Since we probably would not grant the UN, or Kim Jong Ill access to our weapon secrets?! LOL. Seriously.. People need to put a spin on perspectives and try different ones out... How else to know them better...

Except they have been found[talking about WMD], as it has been pointed out to you.

    Where??? When? lol...

  3. They have still not been found, by the way. An entire war started, based on a lie.

yeah, you must be right... saddam met all his obligations in reporting the destruction of his documented WMDs, never fired on us (not 17 times at least) and did not systematically violate nearly every condition of our withdrawl since 1991... nope, not at all. it was all about the WMDs that, while bumbling blix was on the prowl, saddam managed to ship out of the country or bury in the sand. yup, that was the only reason...

try not to rewrite so much history mkreku.

    taks

taks, lol. If you are such a good samaritan and wanting world peace and safety, maybe you should be trying to helping countries in Africa... lol.... I have not heard a PEEP from you about anyone in the world doing as bad or worse then Saddam was. Now that we are occupying a country, you say it's justified with circumstances that are not as extreme as some things being ignored.

You can't be everywhere at once. There is something needed to juggle the world's power so much. It's called strategy. lol.

This war ignores it(at least the publically told strategy). We can talk all day about how someone had the right to get Saddam out of power. He still existed in his country.... for a reason. Polls in Iraq show a huge number of Iraqis would vote Saddam over anyone the US props up! LMFAO!

We sure are saving the Iraqi's :p ... Does anyone still think we are liberating them? lol.. Liberating them from somewhat bad conditions in occurance. And thrusting them into a full blown warzone...

This is an Arab nation we are occupying.... It was obvious to me, a regular citizen, that the Iraq war was horrible strategy after such an attack as 9-11(no matter what bias I have agianst a political 'body' in the capital).

It took the pentagon.. over 2 years to tell us this? lol Who I with no military experience outside a simulator can tell easily before we even started the war? lol.....

Strategic Effects from where I'm sitting:

~Enflame more pissed off Iraqi's in a time where Bin Laden has claimed a 'holy war'.,

~Branded them in the same light as terrorists when they are just defending their home, defending their ideals. Misleading gullible Americans about what is actually going on there..

~Drawn valuable resources away from protecting America from 'real' terrorists(more accurately described as Enemies of America with no rea; 'country')

~Drawn attention away from the crazy internal actions going on in America(Patriot act I and II for example).

~This is making the 9-11 out of sight out of mind for a lot of people. There are many unanswered questions... I'm not sure those intended to be answering will ever... lol.

Bush is being sued for doing 9-11 by someone claiming to have FBI docs that prove it.

Bush, nor our national media, has told us the real goal of Osama Bin Laden.

~This has weakened our military considerably.

~This has made large amounts of unrest inside America's internall 'conflict' plethora. Almost segregating the society on two extreme sides(politicians are loving it, lol)

    I could name many more....

  4. "You must do something for yourself to start IMO..."

Why bother?  Nothing is going to change.

You are capable of change. Creating the world you wish to see through your actions. It will happen no other way as far as I can tell.

But I was more reflecting on doing something bettering yourself would be the first move to the 'impossible' goal that you are speaking of...

someone should nuke everything between new york and LA...

lol.. Your like the international doppleganger of an American who says "Nuke the Middle East". Out of all the things in the world, you hate yourself the most...

  5. You must do something for yourself to start IMO...

Those who did vote don't get a say. If they wanted a say how things are going then they would have voted. Plain and simple.

lol... Those who did vote often are under the illusion their vote will change something dramatically. On the contrary, many people care about where our country is going, but know that voting is not an adequate means to implement their wishes into action...

  6. Oh, lol, and also... Just to add insult to injury... Iraq vets are already showing up on the streets homeless....

Troops sueing to stop the US army extending their tours of duty in Iraq.

THE Pentagon has admitted that the war on terror and the invasion and occupation of Iraq have increased support for al-Qaeda, made ordinary Muslims hate the US and caused a global backlash against America because of the

  7. Agreed^

I have been saying that for what, 5 years? lol.... I think it's pretty obvious the Bush admin is highly corrupted, as well as our highest spots in government infiltrated by a bunch of assorted chronies... Theres just about no arguing that. No matter what, there is a huge conspiracy going on. EIther with people hiding it. Or large LARGE groups throughout history giving quotes like this:

  8. Usefull for making people publically afraid of you, as well as hurting someone extremely bad/killing them maybe. Where did you get that from? lol.

Confucious says, good to meet girl in park, better to park meat in girl.

That's quite a deep and uplifting thought Oerwinde

  9. dega had a good idea.

I'll start with buddha. I love many of his quotes.

Believe nothing, no matter where you read it, or who said it, no matter if I have said it, unless it agrees with your own reason and your own common sense.

A dog is not considered a good dog because he is a good barker. A man is not considered a good man because he is a good talker.

Every human being is the author of his own health or disease.

He is able who thinks he is able.

He who experiences the unity of life sees his own Self in all beings, and all beings in his own Self, and looks on everything with an impartial eye.

I do not believe in a fate that falls on men however they act; but I do believe in a fate that falls on them unless they act.

There are only two mistakes one can make along the road to truth; not going all the way, and not starting.

Three things cannot be long hidden: the sun, the moon, and the truth.

We are what we think. All that we are arises with our thoughts. With our thoughts, we make the world.

Work out your own salvation. Do not depend on others.
  10. I can understand keeping religon out of schools (no need to force it on them) but this monument appears to be part of the towns heritage. You might as well burn down the local church its just as likely to "influence" people as this monument.

How did this idiot ever get into power?

They can move it off federal grounds... But that would just be a deception. lol. Most of us pretty much know our country is heading towards a Church/State marriage, and somewhat martial law.

But seriously... It's just a piece of stone on federal land. This is some stupid insignificant story compared to current world situations. Its like this is something someone wants us to talk about instead of other things(like a number of Iraq War vets already homeless in the streets of America!).

    1. Church land is tax free so that it can be used a a place for these kinda of things. Religious land holding in America are substantial. It's not like they are hurting for space.

    Good point.

  11.   I have to put up with the BS everyday of a largely religious populous.  And I take it all in stride.  If someone takes this badly, it may act as something to strengthen them in areas they should be stronger in.

And that entitles you to deliberatedly trying to destroy this thread by posting flamebait how ?

My life sucks, therefore everybody elses have to suck too ?

The original post was funny, so was Oerwinde's, sadly it only takes one troll to ruin it...

I don't see any 'flamebait'(except your attack towards me). I don't see how you could see me trying to destroy this thread. lol.

My life does not suck. And religious zealots do not make my outlook or enjoyment lower in life.

Conflict is all I seem to get on these forums. lol. I post 'I think automatic cars are better' and I get some wanker taking a jab at me. You are no different in this case.

You did not understand what I meant in the quote I presume. Please break down why you think I am trolling this thread so I may understand your point of view better.

Because so far you seem like someone acting on impulse, anger, or a grudge. I can see no reason to your attack towards me. Unless maybe your Christian... In that case I guess you feel like lashing out at someone? Simple, dont come in the thread...

  12. You decide with your own perception dega.

If people think beating their children is good.

Killing someone for wearing more then 1 type of clothe.

Killing someone who grows more then 1 type of plant in their crops.

heh... I think they can take some ridiculing. I havent met a single person with those beliefs. Yet it is in many people's religion...

I have to put up with the BS everyday of a largely religious populous. And I take it all in stride. If someone takes this badly, it may act as something to strengthen them in areas they should be stronger in.

If your going to keep asking, looking for your answer, well... You can just stop at Nartwak, and leave the thread 'knowing' your 'right' in your discontent... lol.

  13. There is no 1 size fits all when it comes to humor. To me, its funny because people actually believe it, or once followed it. lol.

Its the type of humor, kinda like watching a dog chase its tail.. The stupidity is funny. Cant help but feel bad if the dog smacks its head on a table or something, but its still funny.

  14. Is there any particular reason for this thread?  I mean, other than to ridicule those who have Judeo-Christian beliefs?  If so, I fail to see it.

The reason I would assume(by looking at the title), would be fun. lol. Maybe mixed with a little bit of 'wow I didnt know that'.

I suppose that if I started a thread with supposedly funny quotes from Gerald Gardner, or Mohammed, or Confusious, or Lao Tze, or Buddha, that would be great fun as well?

Sure, please do. It would be interesting. Well, if you actually had any... lol. Seriously, I would love it if you did post a thread with quotes of any kind. But I dont think your into posting knowledge or history people dont know, moreso ridiculing others doing it in a way you don't like... Maybe I don't see enough of your posting.. But thats what it seems..

If you quote a source, and it makes them look bad, maybe they should not affiliate with whatever looks bad......

    Anyway here are some:

"He who spares the rod hates his son, but he who loves him takes care to chastise[beat] him"  (Proverbs 13:24 NAB)

"When a man strikes his male or female slave with a rod so hard that the slave dies under his hand, he shall be punished.  If, however, the slave survives for a day or two, he is not to be punished, since the slave is his own property."  (Exodus 21:20-21 NAB)

"Happy those who seize your children and smash them against a rock." Psalms (137:9 NAB)

  15. LOL! I haven't gotten any warnings either...

Words. It is a quandry to me how/why people can understand a words meaning, yet consider it not a word. I guess I just have a fundamental difference in the meaning of a 'word'. I dont need the King of the Moon(or whoever the hell decides what is a 'word') to declare something is officially a word to use it effectively... lol

Eru. Is 'flaming' a word that means putting someone down/fighting on a forum??:(

  16. I dont know how this thread got posted lol.

I tried posting it like 5 times the last few days, i kept getting a crazy error page, and just click back, and wander off, every once ina while trying to repost it. lol.

Ya I've heard about the freezing.. I have played about 28 hours now.. Not one freeze.

  17. The battles are likely balanced for 3 characters I would wager.

Probably. Which would be why I say, if you think it's too easy, play solo(or with one other character), and change the difficulty to the highest setting. The means to adjust your difficulty is in your own hands is my point.

Also: I think this is my favorite game ever played.

  18. My first impressions: lol Easily, the Game of the Year IMO.

I'm only 20 or so hours in, but I must say, I haven't played a game this fun, possibly ever.

The characters in this game are extremely interesting to me(in contrast to the other kotor where some were not). Its like I actually care what happens to ANY of them.

The areas I have been to amaze me. And are extremely fun to play. The music is not bad either.

The skill/class system is way better then the first kotor. It is very balanced and well thought-out. Much props for whoever did that.

The only thing so far that I would even have a small gripe about, is at times the framerate is not butter... But not like thats a big thing.

This game in just 20 hours has been about the fun Fable and Halo 2 combined were for me...

I have been taking my time, and 20 hours in I estimate I'm something like 20% done with the story..
