I'm wondering why my ultra low-end 860m laptop gpu outperforms the 1050ti when playing The Division which is by far one of the more demanding tests anyone has done between the two gpu's. You don't have to respond with a page of info, I was just wondering (not asking)
You say a claim but share a link with proof before I believe anything of that.There exists of course exceptions some games are better optimised for some graphic cards. You have only a comment and no proof send a link of professional done testing.
In addition Nvidia 1050 TI is newer hardware and get better drivers in time. Nvidia 1080 8 GB DDR5 is a monster graphic card while Nvidia 1050 Ti 4 GB DDR5 is budget gaming graphic card. I am happy with my computer. You know is USA prices are cheaper but I got mine for 815 euro super discount so for the performance/price I am very satisfied. I have played all games on max settings FULL HD though no have not tried and not interested in The Division or any other very demanding game unless you consider Battlefield 3 as very demanding.
I tend to buy games when I get them on considerable discount. First person shooters not so interested but Call of Duty World War II which is not realistic and has fantasy&horror elements with zombie soldiers combined with World War II and nazis (and according to unreliable hype excellent story) might interest me. Call of Duty World War II is released likely towards end of 2017 and not saying it is some super game and I will read reviews before I consider buying any game. That is the only game that worries me a bit honestly what performance it might have on my computer. If it demands super much well fine then I don't buy it.

You can all talk about presidency here and there. However understand this. Finland and Germany president have almost no power compared to say USA president and this also without regarding the fact that USA is a superpower.

Please stop thinking in the lines of USA terms of who has most power in Germany please. I am not going into USA politics, but fact is that Trump could in theory if he wanted to start World War 3. You can not compare USA president power to that of Germany president that would not be fair. Finally I respect all USA presidents and you Americans choose who will be elected as USA presidents.

But her inability to find a European solution for the refugee crisis and her disastrous policies concerning Greece indeed weigh heavy. A short update. I wondered why I did get instabile issues?
Well in my subjective case for some reason my computer did not like FRAPS enabled with Pillars of Eternity.
Well I did this two things not saing it will fix your issues, but it did solve mine:
A. Disable FRAPS and never run FRAPS with this game.
B. I am using free version of Zonealarm firewall and in that I set the Pillars of Eternity as trusted, but not supertrusted.
Third thing that could be your issue. I have laptop with Nvidia 1050 Ti 4GB DDR5. My particular graphic card is known to be gentle and not having overheating issues.
If the case would be overheating in your case check google what are ok temperatures then maybe better cooling system i.e hardware cooling system might solve your issue. Please note don't go shopping some expensive cooling system and then blame me if that
does not help! I am not sure what is causing your issues.If you are curious about my hardware, what I am using:

It will run great certainly at FULL HD absolutely no problems with max settings. Please keep in mind that POE1 is more demanding then say
Battlefield 3, 4 and newest. However PoE2 is not a First person shooter and does not constantly need 60+ frames.
I don't know what is the situation regarding if that game POE2 has both 4k resolution and virtual reality support? If it does in those EXTREME
settings I don't know what performance it will have but remember it is not a first person shooter where you need constantly super frames.
You have a super computer and you don't need to upgrade. Since you have 32 GB RAM you can also have music playing that are other then the game
if you get bored on the game music and have lots of browser windows open while playing without worrying about RAM usage.

New info: It does not matter if you have Nvidia 1060 6GB DDR5 it will get a beating at ultra settings
in Ashes of Singularity regardless if Direct X 11 or Direct X12.

All I can say is that my Alienware Alpha has an 860m gtx which is technically far weaker than the 1050ti, yet it outperforms it in most cases so idk. Start there
In performance my graphic card wins your graphic card in gaming clearly. I do know that Alien ware is known to have high end computers so your CPU and amount of RAM might be better then mine.
For you information Nvidia 800 , 900 (and older) series are tuned down for laptop versions. Nvidia 1000 series is not tuned down
for laptops it is same perfomance as in desktop. My graphic card wins for example laptop Nvidia 970m, but is slightly slower then
desktop Nvidia 970 4 GB DDR5.
Anyway it is no competition between us. If you are happy with your current hardware then enjoy the games that you play

Look if you think my computer can run anything with nice performance at FULL HD max settings you are wrong.
Two games come into my mind that are super demanding. Try for example Ashes of Singularity with Direct X12 and max settings FULL HD and forget
the vastly underestimated (at least for Direct X12 max settings FULL HD) official recommended hardware for that game. Try for example Conan Exile MMO with FULL HD max settings that has recommended graphic card Nvidia 1070 8 GB DDR5!
I know my limits, but have decided that I don't need to play those two games. Ashes of Singularity not so interested in it has not cool units like Supreme Commander, but if it comes much down in price I might play it with Direct X11 settings and not super demanding Direct X12 settings.

I was lucky and got for big discount and bought like a month ago (and prices have gone up in my country after that) this gaming laptop.
I play at FULL HD max settings these games and for Pillars of Eternity I also use third party software for SweetFx effects with more
deeper colors and better shader effects.
I have tried both Blade and Soul and Tera but I did not like them.
Games that I have liked most so far and play currently though to be honest taking break with all other games
while trying to finish Pillars of Eternity solo game.
Pillars of Eternity, Battlefield 3 (this is my first BF Game that I have tried), Heroes of Might and Magic 6
They are different Pillars of Eternity is Dungeons Dragons mixed with computer game rules single player roleplaying adventure,
Battlefield 3 (I can try Battlefield 4 and newest Battlefield later(if they go down in price a lot) besides in graphics Battlefield 3 is enough good) for being so old game it has really nice graphics first person shooter. Heroes of Might and Magic 6 is turn based strategy.

graphics and I got it for bargain price 8 euro+shipping. Why Pillars of Eternity? Well it reminds me of Baldurs Gate.
Why not MMOS? I have played World of Warcraft MMO and Neverwinter MMO both in the past but both are huge TIME SINKS and I

Well could I become millionaire? It is difficult to estimate (but hard for me unless I marry someone with well money) first of all In Europe we don't count pension money to our networth as Americans do. We also have clearly less salary in my country Finland then say USA or Norway. companions I get 45-65 frames /second in a small cave perhaps more but generally if in huge cities etc crowded with npcs.
In very intensive battles huge battles and those sweetfx extra effects and choosing talents like bloody carnage where you see enemies explode
full spell effects fireballs flying etc. I get frames usually between 20-45, but it seems never go below 20 frames.
What is your problem? This is not Battlefield 3 or 4 etc. First person shooter where you need 60+ frames constantly.
This is strategic combat at least you play on like I do ... I have two separate games going one on Hard difficulty level and one one Nightmare difficulty
level. I have not bought expansions like White March 1 and White March 2 mainly because they make the game easier. People complain
then that end game is so easy when they get a ton of exp and items from those expansions.
I also don't tend to copy other forum members character builds and I like to create my own while not perhaps best one out there but my personal choice and good enough. If you play this game on easy or normal and don't want to use pause never and expect flawless 60-100 frames in huge battles then perhaps you should play some other game? Yes Pillars of Eternity is more demanding then say Battlefield 3 and Battlefield 4, but does not need constantly 60+ frames on FULL HD max graphics + sweetfx extra shader effects and color enabled.

I am not a hater of Console and one of my real life friends that used to play on PC nowadays uses Console only for gaming. That said actually sometimes I have thought about console as excellent perfomance/price and generally very good performance.
My main grip with Console is that the games tend to be very expensive when you buy them. If I would ever buy a Console then I would buy a used one with someone having like 20 console games selling them all cheaply in a package.
I paid for my performance/budget laptop 815 euros and then I bought for example Battlefield 3 that has excellent graphics considering it is so old game for 8 euro+shipping costs. I did pay for Pillars of Eternity like 20 euro and from a shop and not the expensive Steam price and same thing did my brother he bought it for 20 euro. I bought Heroes of Might and 6 really cheaply don't remember price, but this due to fact that newest Heroes of Might 7 have bad reviews and was done with very low budget.
I have played for free these MMO:S on my new laptop: Neverwinter MMO, Tera, Blade and Soul. I have played Neverwinter MMO before my new laptop and I have managed to get the fastest mount as a 100% free player. I only tried Tera and Blade and Soul but I did not like them. I have also played War Thunder for free. Neverwinter MMO that does support both PC and consoles is most to my liking, but I stopped playing it since it is TIME SINK and gets a bit repetitive in the long run.
Please note that I respect all Console and PC gamer's and I hate neither group, but for now I am happy with my performance/price laptop.
