  1. For BG... How about a nature godlike explorer from the living lands? As he always was fascinated with nature, he chose the life of a frontier in the vast flora of the living lands. He spent years exploring the living lands, gathering knowledge about the large number of different plants and even nature itself. In this role, he found himself to be as happy as he could have ever been. However, this all changed when a group of looters attacked him. He bravely stood his ground, but the looters were to many, and so they won. While he himself survived, the looters not only stole everything he had, but they also burned down his frontier and the fire spreaded onto the surrounding forest. This almost broke our Nature Godlike, and he decided he couldn't stay in this place of tragedy. He decided it was time to move on. After a long time of travel, he decided to visit the Dyrwood. From there, he'd try to get to Eir Glanthat (I definitely spelled that incorrectly) to continue his research on the nature of nature...
  2. So I hate needing to get everyone to vote again... But I'm really interested Slacker, you're right
  3. Hey, I just tried to come of up with a "less ordinary" Druid Yes, the Druids attacks often do also have some powerful CC effects, however, he also has a few dedicated CC spells.
  4. My idea is that your Druid will at the start of combat, when everyone runs towards your party, uses escape to get behind the enemies and then goes crazy with the AoE cone attacks... Additional move speed makes us very efficient at this since we'll move very quickly when engaging the enemy from behind. Yes, he'll mainly be dps, but also some CC that come with certain attacks. He should basically nuke the enemy from behind while being uncatchable due to fast move speed.
  5. On a side note: do consider taking a rouge into your party... Druids are excellent at triggering sneak attacks.
  6. So basically you'll be running insanely fast around spreading those beautiful beautiful cone AoE that you'll otherwise rarley use due to friendly fire on enemies from the sides or behind, or maybe to clear up the ranger/caster line... Or both.
  7. Well... How about a cone AoE damage dealing fast runner? There is a cape called "cape of the cheat" which gives a once per encounter escape... What do you think of a high Dex frontline Druid with fast runner, sugar and boots of speed (overall a permanent +4 move speed, with sugar +5) running around (and once per encounter "beaming" across the entire battlefield) dishing out AoE-cone damage spells on the enemies from all sides, then switching to spiritshift (maybe cat To fit the speed theme, but go with whatever you like) and clearing up the rest. With escape you can even get behind the crowd in situations like doorway-fights, and make full use of all those beautiful AoE-cone attacks. If you don't like spirit shift, go with your desired spear and a small shield (no acc loss when casting) instead and wear Aru Brekr... It is an Bridangie (so a high DR armour) which also gives you +1 move speed, so if you are looking for non spiritshift melee protection here you go. Otherwise I'd recommend Angio's gambeson, which Hasan Delirious accelerity of motion (+50% speed!) spellbind, which is a perfect fit as well.
  8. Fair enough... But for example I use a 15-10-3-14-18-18 (Wild Orlan) spread for my chanter, and honestly,I wouldn't know where to get these extra points for con... If I need extra fortitude I just use the Lvl 1 chant (I'm only at the beginning from act II and since I'm not on PoTD but on hard it's usually enough...), especially since it also boosts my invocations fortitude, I believe . But please do correct me if I made mistakes, I'd really like to have a efficient chanter running around.
  9. I don't really see the purpose in high con, since you can just use ancient memory and veterans recovery for endurance and wound binding for health... I really like wound binding for my solo chanter, it basically spares me camping supplies
  10. Take a look at Boeroer Batsh!t build.... It is very fun. Other than that you can obviously have a druid with a reach weapon like quaterstaff or pike. But about the buffer thing, prototype is right... While Druids indeed have numerous buffs, it is not their main focus. What you could try is going melee with durance. Give him some heavy or medium armour (I always choose breastplate cause I find it to offer a very good balance) and a pike (or quarterstaff... Especially early on you can use his quaterstaff. Later on go for the tall grass pike), so he'll be behind the frontliners casting buffs and debuffs and hitting the enemy simultaneously. If an enemy breaches your lines, switch to weapon and shield and protect your casters (go for a small shield to avoid accuracy loss for casting).
  11. Na, just proceed quickly to caed Nua and get Kana's arquebus... Very powerful at the start.
  12. Another tipp: disable auto levelling for companions. Then they'll be at level one and you can level them up until your own level right when you meet them. Very useful option. About roleplay frontline mechanics... Kana maybe but if you want him in the back maybe Pallegina?
  13. Having enough lore for AoE scrolls on your frontliners is also so valuable... Even if you don't want to invest into it heavily consider spending 6 points throughout the game... You can have early on fan of flames with 2 lore, later on rolling flame with 4 lore and in te end cracklings bolt with 6 lore. Not a huge investment and it pays of.
  14. It is a very nice "city" (more of an extremely urban big village though ). But I do really love Italy... You guys have such a rich history (far more centuries to cover ). So I understand correctly that you want to have your rouge at the front when walking around? Cause that's when traps suddenly appear... But yes, a rouge is an obvious choice for a scout.
  15. And sry for my late answer... But ya know... Solo chanter and the endless paths
  16. Yes I am German if the statements are to believed there are quite a few Germans around here. Stealth if find personally not that useful. But you might increase it to 2 or 3 in early game to make things but easier for you (placing traps and not getting detected, scouting). Consider making one dedicated scout (high stealth) if you use scouting a lot in early game. I'd also make one of your front liners your mechanics guy... It's very valuable cause he'll detect traps before the party gets even close (as opposed to for example having a back row ranger with mechanics finding the traps quite late). For athletic, same goes like for stealth: really not that important, but early on especially as a somewhat new player it is quite useful (second wind). Try having it at 2-3 for back row and 3-4 for front row... This early on it can turn fights. Peronallly, I value Lore (also for frontliners... Nothing like opening a fight with 6 crackling bolts rushing at the enemy ), then survival (switch for one guy with mech). For solo mech is much more crucial btw So... Yeah Have fun Any more questions go ahead
  17. Exactly... Other than with lore or int, people will actually regard you as a logical person.
  18. No no no no Lore still gives you WAY more options... Being rational is just a bit more flavour. But seriously, it depends... Having lore is exactly that, knowing things... So if you want your character to be knowledgeable go for it. If he should be rational go for it. If he should be intelligent go for it. It comes down to personal taste.
  19. About the smart-mouth... Try behaving rational. You will unlock a few options through that
  20. Well, how about giving kana Acient memory (healing aura) and have him be a ranged chanter with sure handed at the back with your rouge? Might solve your death-problems Other than that well simply sneak up, backstab-shot, escape behind your frontline
