Posters previously mentioned this being high level content, seen somewhere, level 14 because it's considered end of the game material. I used fighter, paladin, barbarian, priest, and wizard statically, rotated in druid/cipher/chanter whenever I felt like changing and did little at a time. Buff party, debuff mobs, focus fire, and don't bite off more than you can chew. I went back and forth after each battle or two killing time. Don't engage the drunk dude because he brings all hell down on you. Kill him alone later. But, if you wait until level 16 this is not very hard.

Gilded Vale blacksmith sells Hold-Wall arbalest, some regard it as highly rate for ranged/Cipher, also a dagger with jolting touch is there too, there is a flail called Guan's Share in Temple of Eothas (Gilded vale) with draining stat, Persistence is in Caed Nua level 4, considered best hunting bow in the game by some, to name a few.

Yes I have the grimoire in my inventory; I'll make sure I selected Aloth, maybe I didn't, it was late. But, otherwise I cannot pay the copper to learn either unique spell, as there is no + sign to learn.

Hello! Been lurking a while, recently got into PoE, great game, community seems great too. But, I also have a similar issue with the Black Pages; I cannot learn the two unique spells. I encountered the ghosts, found the tattered map, and found the grimoire; did I miss something?
