  1. ...what the !@#$ are you talking about, son? Are you referring to a Pathfinder or D&D character? I'll assume you are since you're talking about pen-and-paper games and multiclassed characters and such. If so, this forum has nothing to do with the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game or Dungeons & Dragons. This forum is for Pathfinder Adventures (which is not in any way the same thing as the Pathfinder RPG). You don't "create characters;" Pathfinder Adventures is a deckbuilding card game and the "characters" are just pre-fabricated, pre-named cards. The only thing Pathfinder Adventures has in common with the RPG is the Golarion setting. As an aside, if anyone at my table ever uttered the phrase "spicy memes, my man," either in-character or out of character, whether ironically or unironically, he or she would be immediately and irrevocably dismissed from the group. And then shot.
  2. Hey, Veevor! You are indeed missing something. A monster's damage is equal to the difference between your roll and his difficulty. If the check to defeat is 12 and you roll an 8, you will take 4 damage, because 12 - 8 = 4. Armor (like leather armor, chain mail, etc.) will be able to prevent 100% of combat damage in most cases, though. If you're proficient with it, you'll usually only need to bury the armor card (not just discard it) to prevent it all. The tutorial does an underwhelming job of explaining all the PACG's admittedly dense mechanics - monster damage being one of them. Somewhere on this forum I did notice a link to a YouTube video explaining the PACG rules in detail. That might help you out! Enjoy!
  3. Oh my god, I'm an idiot. Someone delete this thread (and the evidence of my shame).
  4. For some reason, the difficulty of the check to recharge a spell for Lem (and only Lem) is always +2 higher than the card would indicate. I am playing on Story Mode, in normal difficulty (no wild effects), during the Brigandoom! and Poison Pill scenarios (so far). I am playing on an Android device. For example, after casting Strength from the Town Square during the Poison Pill scenario on Normal difficulty, Lem is stuck trying to roll an 8 instead of a 6. This seems to happen with every spell that Lem casts. I cannot find any mechanics on Lem's card, the scenario card, or on the location which would cause such an increase, but that's what the check says. "Arcane 8." EDIT: Pass-and-Play is off, Permadeath is off.
  5. PinkRose is correct - that's how the cardboard game works, too - but you should check your Vault for the deck 1 cards, TYGRHobbes. If deck 1 isn't there, then you don't have Burnt Offerings unlocked.
  6. By "Pathfinder Account," do you mean "the Google Play account that you linked to the game?" I am also logged in successfully and am able to earn gold, even though my purchase didn't unlock anything.
  7. Same issue here (Android user). Bundle purchased and listed as "owned," but cannot access unlocked characters and Vault shows no cards for decks 1-6, etc. I appreciate the Devs being on top of this all through the night and into the morning - it's not unreasonable expect problems with a new release, and for a title as awesome as this one (assuming the core content is as seamless as the tutorial was!) it's quite forgivable... even if I am dying to get my Ezren on. Things I have tried: 1.) Restarting the app. 2.) Restarting the app and the device. 3.) Re-synching Google Play, powering off the device, and relaunching the app. 4.) Signing out of Google Play, powering off the device, signing back into Google Play, and relaunching the app. 5.) Signing out of Google Play, uninstalling the app powering off the device, signing back into Google Play, reinstalling the app, and relaunching the app. Sadly, none of these worked. It feels like an account-side issue? Thanks in advance for all your hard work repairing this issue ASAP, dev team. EDIT: Oddly... when I signed out of Google (the account was no longer listed in my settings) and launched the app anyway just to see what would happen, I got a "login successful" message. Logged in to what I have no idea...
  8. You have to go into Settings and remove the account from the device. Then you just re-add it. Why in the name of blessed Zargonel would logging out work in such an obnoxious way? Only Google knows that. For the record, the above-described workaround did not work for me, tragically. Things I have tried: 1.) Restarting the app. 2.) Restarting the app and the device. 3.) Re-synching Google Play, powering off the device, and relaunching the app. 4.) Signing out of Google Play, powering off the device, signing back into Google Play, and relaunching the app. 5.) Signing out of Google Play, uninstalling the app, powering off the device, signing back into Google Play, reinstalling the app, and relaunching the app. 6.) Attempting to get excited about Hearthstone instead. Sadly, none of these worked. It feels like an account-side issue?
  9. Well, that is good news. I was getting nervous. While we wait, did you know that Mysterio (of all people) evidently killed basically all of the X-Men in the Old Man Logan storyline? Like... Mysterio, the Hollywood special effects "villain" with no powers. His weapon was - uh - Wolverine. EDIT: Aaaaand I just realized there's a separate tech support forum, and this issue is known. I'm an idiot.
  10. Hey dev team, So I purchased the "season pass" bundle before even playing through the tutorial (I watched your twitch streams, that was all the research I needed to make the decision to buy), but now that I've finished Amieko's and Orik's tutorial "scenario," I still cannot play with any characters other than Merisiel and Kyra - the others are greyed out, and prompt me to the store. Note that I have not yet finished Perils of the Lost Coast (not even one scenario) yet - do I need to do so before unlocking the other 9 characters I purchased? My Vault does list three promo cards: a Grindylow (monster), Poog of Zargonel (ally), and Blessing of Zargonel (blessing), but my Vault also does not contain any of the cards for decks 1 through 6, nor deck "C." These also prompt me to the store. When I do visit the store, the RotRL bundle shows as "owned;" I do not have the option to buy it. If necessary I can upload some screenshots to a file hosting site (unless I can figure out how to upload them here). I also have the e-mail receipt for my RotRL bundle purchase. I have restarted the app to no avail. Is something wrong with my account, or do I just need to keep playing through Perils..? EDIT: Aaaaand I just realized there's a separate tech support forum, and this issue is known. I'm an idiot.
  11. Ooo... so there might be extras included in the season pass? Good to know, as I'd already long-since decided to nab the pass on day one! Thanks, Kaieta.
  12. Hey PA team! Super excited for this game, and wondering a lot about future multiplayer features. I'm aware that you won't be answering questions about specific features, etc, but I would love it if there were any comment you could make on a certain general inquiry... Basically, my girlfriend and I thrive on co-op games. I am hoping that it will somehow be possible to play with total co-operation in terms of trading cards to one another, etc. For example, if I find a really great magic staff for her Ezren, but I acquire it with my Valeros, will I be able to make sure that the staff goes into HER deck (and her "vault") and not mine, at the end of the game? I feel like a big part of the "we are a team of adventuring companions" vibe that you get from the cardboard co-op elements is rooted in things like having big, strong Valeros picking up a great magic weapon for someone else on the team to keep, etc. Or having Lem pick up hand-me-down weapons that Seelah has outgrown. In short: do you have a rough plan or idea as to how to handle sharing boons picked up during a scenario, either by cards being freely tradable between scenarios during the "deckbuilding" phase, or by some other method that would prevent, let's say... Sajan, from being stuck with an awesome magic sword that he can't use or doesn't want when Amiri would love to have it, or trade him a blessing she picked up for him, etc. On the one hand I could see this creating issues wherein players will attempt to sell or trade for cards that they farmed, etc. On the other hand, I'd really hate to lose this element of the cardboard game. I suppose we could always pay pass-and-play and literally share one vault of cards, but given that I will be grabbing this game up on Steam and playing it there almost exclusively (once it's released on that platform), I'd really rather not try to crowd us both around a laptop, or try to "pass" one around).
  13. Hey team - a question for you: Is there any way to preorder the game, and will there be any bonus content for preorders, or "platinum memberships," or anything like that?
  14. Interesting. Thanks a ton for the info, guys. Two quick follow-up questions. 1.) Does "salvage" mean "sell for in-game gold," or is there a Hearthstone-style resource for "crafting" individual cards? 2.) Are there any short- or long-term plans to take that "balance decision" out of the player's hands, putting some sort of vault limits on "treasure chest cards?"
  15. Hey, folks. So I'm an avid player of the card game and psyched for this digital release. I've watched every video I can find previewing this game (the original preview, and both the Obsidian Plays Twitch videos) in the interest of "doing my homework" as a consumer, and I'm basically sold on dropping the $25.00 for a season pass on day one. That being the case, wondering if I can get an answer from the development team about "treasure chests," and the cards that come out of them. From what I've seen and heard, treasure chests will be the only means (or at least the primary means) for season pass-holders to spend their in-game gold. What I'm wondering is... will my "vault" of cards eventually fill up with more "treasure chest" cards than basic ones, if I buy enough of them - or is there a limit on how many copies of any given card can be stored in your vault? I know, for example, that the basic Longsword card is capped at 3 or 4 copies. Is the same true of any given "treasure chest card?" Could I eventually collect, saaay, twenty copies of the "Duelist" ally card? (Just a random example "treasure chest card" from the second twitch video.) I'm hoping the answer is no, since that would be wacky and unbalanced, and force me to go trimming my vault to keep card variety sane. On the other hand, if the answer is no, I'm stumped as to how else I might spend my gold once I have the maximum number of copies of each of the treasure cards. (Why yes, I do intend to play this game to absolute excess.) Thanks in advance, forums - and thanks for all the hard work Dev Team.
