Sorry guys I think you miss understood. I don't speak or work for apple or Nvida for that matter. If you would like to check the Apple forums be my guest post what you find their on here if you like. I also don't work for Obsidian though it sounds like both of you would like to. Be my guest and apply for a job. Then maybe post an update on the fix. Also thank you for reposting the Best Answer post from BAdler. I'm sure he will be impressed. What I think you miss understand is that we are looking for an update from Obsidian on the Obsidian Forum Page. I assume they have been in touch with Apple and would like to know long they expect a fix from Appel for their game will take. Now please, get your résumés in. Get that job you always wanted and get us an update if you please.

Ok we've heard from the fan boys. Can we please get and update from the Developers ( BAdler) on this? Did Apple / Nvida give you a time line or did they tell you they aren't supporting any updates for the version of the Unity Engine you are using for PoE?

An El Capitan update (10.11.1) and a Pillars of Eternity update (2.03) have come and gone and still no fix. Can we please get a progress report?

Just a little more info on my situation. Every time I start the game I get the frozen start page. If I hit ( command + F ) I can get to the options page. In the options page I go to the Graphics page and check full screen. Then I hit the ( X ) in the upper right conner, then I hit the save option. I usually have to do this several times ( 4 to 5 ) until it sticks. But it does end up staying in ( Full Screen ) mode with the resolution of ( 2048 x 1152 ) one level down from the max ( 2560 x 1440 ) in the case of my iMac. What's odd to me is that apparently my iMac, OS X El Capitain and my NVIDIA card with t's drivers can play the game in full screen. It just takes me repeatedly asking it to do so. I'm no programer but if I can do it on my keyboard it seems code and be written or changed to get whatever isn't listening to pay attention and lock into Fullscreen without me having to do it manually. Now I must stress this applies to my iMac, I know all machines can differ. My two cents.

I have NO Unity folder! A Spotlight search for Player.log finds nothing. El Capitan Version 10.11 (15A284) fendernman, Maybe I can help. Don't use Spotlight. use the application called Finder or you can click on its shortcut that looks like the square with the blue and white faces that fit together. Once it's open look at the very top bar on your monitor. Next to the black apple in the upper left it should say ( Finder ). look to the right and you should see the word ( Go ). Click on it. In the Drop down you should see ( Go To Folder... ) Click on it. A small window will pop up. Type in ( ~/Library ). The GO button will light up. Click on it. Now your should be able to navigate down a folder listing to ( Logs Folder ) to ( Unity Folder ) to ( Player.log ) Copy it and upload it to Dropbox. Create a link to it in Dropbox and paste that link to a post. I don't dive into my Mac much so this has been a learning lesson for me. Hope this helps.

For more information play this game through Steam. Other games I play with Steam have some sort of folder on my hard drive. I can't find any folders for Pillars of Eternity, Unity or Obsidian.

It was starting fine for the last week. I play the game through Steam. I might be wrong but it seemed to start happening with the new 2.02 patch. I also up graded to OS X El Capitan a few days back. Is there a connection with either? Why would it work for a week and then start happening? What is the update on a fix?
