  1. I think the enchantment system suffers from the fact that there is just too much of everything. I recall old school Baldurs and such when finding a simple plus 1 item or a str enahncing belt that was with youy for the entire game almost. Here we get fine supberb exceptional dropping like candy off enemies that drop like flies. Seems like it is mainly for aesthetics I guess? On top of that the merchants sell so many enchanted items that are quite accessible with the obscene amount of money we can accrue so... The rng drops were so abundant I did not even bother enchanting things because every other major fight I had a new piece of equipment and since I can only overwrite one of the enchant lines it was too tedious to try and forward think my choices so I ended up with a ridiculous amount of enchant ingredients. The enchantment system feels gutted and has no real penalty involved. Also there is so many ingredients and items that drop in general it doesnt feel special. The system in NWN2 worked well I think with the need to actually be at a certain anvil or lab table to enchant. The enchants were also quite rewarding in NWN2 wherein POE the only one that seems to make much a difference is perhaps bane types for certain encounters (spirits) I see no reason why the enchant system can not be more robust. I would of liked a lot less rng drops with only special items that were extremely rewarding in shops and more static placed items with a greater ability to enchant them. I recall again in IWD waiting for half thegame just to go back and buy a belt or a mace from a certain merchant and that basically broke me. Perhaps that is a little too restrictive but the enchant system and item drop system in POE although as great potential is way to EZ mode for my old school taste. I hope that modding becomes more accessible for POE soon so the main devs can focus on story and core mechanics and the community can build a lot of extra refinement.
  2. Sorry a little delay in responding. I just had a few sessions where it did not happen. The logs have a lot of bad map errors but I am not sure if that is the cause. Here is the link to the rar of the 3 files requested. https://dropbox.com/s/qvtmf3w84qio70w/appHangB1_error_info.rar?dl=0
  3. Almost every time I boot up this game it takes an incredibly long time to even start doing anything. I click the icon. The game boots with the obsidian logo. I escape or click on the screen and it goes to the load screen. Here is where the issues starts. I load a game and the splash screen pops up and it just hangs with no cursor or anything. I press my mouse it informs me the game has the error apphangb1 and would I like to wait. I wait then I get the hand icon on screen and the splash screen text drops out of frame. Again if I click the mouse I get the apphangb1 error and I wait. Finally I am in game... It can take up to 2 minutes or more for this process. I have only 5 saves and auto saves disabled. I am only in act 2. My loads can be obscenely long or just normal. Occasionally there is some remedy that occurs when I alt tab at a certain time and then for some reason the program gains proper access and I do not get apphangb1 or long load times. However I am unable to figure out what I do that forces the program to take control of the processes and load properly. I have the GoG version. SInce I can get both normal load times and incredibly long load times (with the same data) this is not a problem with my machine. Is there a solution to this problem?
  4. I started Pillars at a normal difficulty setting because I remember how Baldurs and similar games were back in the day. I have now turned my difficulty to hard mode and will likely just turn on Path. On hard I am still not even eating food or potions. I am still only at Act 2 right now but I keep checking after each fight to see if somehow the difficulty changed back to easy because that is how the battles feel. Of course with the abundance of magickal items and the crafting of food and enchants these also reduce the difficulty by a large margin. I love all the additions and refinement to Pillars from the old school titles. I miss the strategically placed items and the lack of rng and the feeling of wonder when we had just found a +1 blade that we would keep for the rest of the game likely. Only nearing end game could we if we played right feel we were nearing god mode. I already feel kind of godly and I am only on act 2
  5. I fought a battlw with drakes at the cliffs. Kana summoned Willow Wisps. After the battle the animation for the Willow WIsp attacking persisted. It now persist in every map I visit. Is there a console command to clear the animation?
