  1. I'm thinking about going for mass chanters. Since their buffs don't stack I wonder if there are any reasons to play with more than 2 of them? You know, you can go for mass rangers and slaughter everyone with your pets. Can you do the same with chanters? I know I can go for 6 of them and spam skeletons or spectres or ogres but... This means half of the sung chants will be useless as they don't stack. Am I right? Is there a valid reason to go for more than 2 or 3 of them?
  2. How do you solve companions' quests that require you to travel with your comrade, like Durian (the fire priest as I remember)? Do you have to keep them in your team for particular amount of time, let's say 3 hours straight, or it's about taking them to some special places to trigger next part of their quest? Eg. I skipped Durian during my playthrough as I had put him into Stronghold. Is there any way to complete his quest now, before the game ends? Do I have to travel from one random location to another, hoping that one day he starts another conversation with me or it's simply impossible to complete his quest as he wasn't with me when important things were happening around me? 3. Thank you for suggestions. I wanted to try chanter like a year ago (I haven't played poe since realise date due to loading times on my ssd reaching 30 secs). I believe I played as a paladin as I was told they are super op (and they matched 2/3 high conversation skill rule). Chanter sounds like a way to go. I'm not that intrested in min/max so going for godlike would be an option if it doesn't stop me from passing conversation checks. Btw why are you guys all for dwarfs and orlans? Are they *that* good? Edit. I also remember 21 check in caed nua dungeon.
  4. Hi. Since I never understood poe's mechanic, I want to ask you to build me a character that can pass all the skill-tests during dialogues (those that let you convince a person to do something). I'd like to play a support or dps role. Race: 'higher' one if possible (you know, not a dwarf or a hobbit). Is it possible or passing all the skill tests means my character is going to be useless? I want to travel with pre-made npc (I can't really remember their names. Dorian? Eder? Mother?). Furthermore, can you tell me where I can find actual information about poe's character-creating system so I can create a reasonable character on my own? I want to start a new game when second part of WM is released. If game's mechanic is going to changed by this time, regard this topic non-existent.
  5. I try to play as a bad guy. I killed the caravan, I forced a kid in Defiance Bay to tell me the secret, I told people in Gilded Valey what I'd done. Because of that, I missed xp for kid's quest, missed quest for Calisha's sister, missed xp for saving the cook quest. There's just no point in being bad because of all the xp you lose when you're not kind and not going to help and save everyone. Why don't you get xp for killing people that attack you once you told them about the caravan? Like it's another way to end the quest as killing everyone in the beginning of the game is.
  6. I play solo on hard, trying to kill everything in the game. That's why I don't want to travel with anyone. I read on wiki that I need to rest with Durance and wait for a dream. Do I need to have him in my team for a specific amount of time or can I just 'rest his quest to the end' immediately I take him to my party?
  7. It's more about being able to access more content. I find it silly to forget about the treasure because of... well, something dirty on the wall? Especially when I just read about it in the journal that I'd grabbed from the dead body nearby. I'd like to see an option to buy some waterskins if needed, just to complete the quest with ooze later. Anyway, I used console to add water to my invetory. Problem solved.
  8. I started a new game. I play as a cipher who kills everything. So I managed to kill the caravan on hard (unfortunately, not on PotD; I was like 1 hit from doing it and then lost again). Because of that, I couldn't pick up the waterskin and that is why I cannot deal with the ooze on the wall in ciliant lis ruin. Is there any place I can buy it or find it?
  9. I thought they'd disappeared because of a bug. But. I just killed them. Oh.
  10. I believe I've completed every quest I could but 1 in the 2. act and a few followers quests: Durance (as I find him useless and read his quest's bugged the way there's no possibility to complete it anyway), mother's (as I read there's no simple "talk -> start the quest -> complete the quest", rather a "travel with her for a long time and one day she speaks to you"), druid's (due to the loading bug - by the time I wanted to do his quest it was like 15 seconds to enter a new location and I just gave up) and the palladin girl (she didn't even join the party as I couldn't find her). The question is: why am I reading (on this forum) that the Saints War was all about stopping Thaos? Where can I find such information in the game? Did I miss it because of the companions' quests I didn't complete?
