Cipher. It has great utility, decent damage, and doesn't adhere to the somewhat annoying "per day" rules.

cRPG newbie here. I'm looking for a hand on figuring out where to go next. As seen in the image below, I've completed some of the main missions and quests. Each of my six party members are level 5. No matter which mission I try to do, everything is too difficult right now despite me playing on Easy. If I go to Stormwall Gorge the Feral Druids decimate me with lightning. If I go to Searing Falls, the Dragon pulls are way too much to overcome. When I go to Endless Paths, a pull of about eight enemies including a Dragon destroys me. I don't think it's necessarily my skill level either. I'm an RPG veteran, having completed a variety of challenging RPGs in the past 15 years. Though, several mechanics in this game frustrate me, including how magic is handled. I've gotten to a point where I simply have no idea what to do next. Since I can't grind enemies like in a conventional RPG, I've made absolutely no progress for about two hours. I appreciate any help that I receive!

Easy. This is my first time playing this style of game. I couldn't finish Divinity: Original Sin because it was strenuous. Lesson learned.
