  1. 1. GoldenEye 64

    2. Championship Manager/Football Manager series

    3. Warcraft III + TFT (Much due to custom games like Dota and Footman Frenzy)

    4. Heroes 3 of Might and Magic

    5. Perfect Dark 64

    6. Zelda: Ocarina of Time

    7. Morrowind

    8. Kotor

    9. Metal Gear Solid

    10. Super Mario World

Honorable mention to World of Warcraft, the only mmorpg I've enjoyed playing.

  2. Some of my favorites..

A Song of Ice and Fire and Fevre Dream by George R. R. Martin

Malazan: Book of the Fallen by Steven Erikson

Wheel of Time 1-6 by Robert Jordan

    Dune Chronicles by Frank Herbert

The Lies of Locke Lamora (Gentlemen Bastard sequence) by Scott Lynch

The Stand and The Dark Tower by Stephen King

Romance of the Three Kingdoms by Luo Guanzhong

Pretty much anything by Neil Gaiman, especially American Gods

The Steel Remains by Richard Morgan

Started reading Altered Carbon by Richard Morgan as well, and it's really good so far. Definitely gonna keep reading more books by him.

  3. The Dresden files is an urban fantasy series of 12 books (so far), about the only wizard in the Chicago phonebook. Harry Dresden is a 'everyman' PI investigating supernatural goings on and foiling evil plots by the skin of his teeth.

Seconded. Haven't had so much fun with a fantasy-series in ages.

Also, can't go wrong with Malazan Book of the Fallen. (Ignore its cheesy name)

Other fantasy books/series I've really enjoyed:

    Dune

A Song of Ice and Fire, and also Fevre Dream by GRRM.

Anansi Boys, Neverwhere and (especially) American Gods by Neil Gaiman

The Gentlemen Bastard Sequence by Scott Lynch (First book is called The Lies of Locke Lamora)

The Name of the Wind - Patrick Rothfuss (First book in a new triology)

The First Law Triology - Joe Abercrombie

Those last three series are pretty much "the new ****" in fantasy.

  4. I would definately recommend chossing a class from what seems fun rather than which one is supposedly stronger/more balanced/has a larger ****.

Agreed. Also, by the time you'd leveled that supposedly strong class up to 80, it probably wouldn't be among the "strong" classes anymore. My own class, warlock, was one of the best classes in TBC, but in WotLK we've been one of the weakest classes in pvp, it's all about the burst damage now. In TBC I was usually around 1700-1800 rating, now I can't even get over 1500..

  5. Three Kingdoms...

CURSE YOU DYNASTY WARRIORS FOR BEING BASED ON SUCH A GOOD BOOK!

    >.>

Great book that. Insanely hard to remember all the names, but every time I read it I discover some new amazing dude who I'd forgotten about. Zhuge Liang ftw.

  6. I think the general rule (according to most theorycrafters) is that 1 spell crit = 0,7 spelldmg, so the 40 spell dmg will outweigh the bonuses you'll get from 30 int. Most important of all for raiding-Mages is spell hit though (until you hit the cap), that's why those gloves you got are a bit better than the ones you had. Especially if you enchant them. :)

I'm not really a Mage expert though, just saying what I've read and heard.

  7. So, my guy picked up the PvP staff the other day. Its so beautiful *wipes tear*. Went with the +30 INT enchant this time instead of the +40 DAM and I cant decide which is better. I suppose the INT is the better bang for the buck by providing three bumps for me; mana, spell crit % and armor while damage is just damage.

I'm pretty sure the 40 spelldmg enchant is (much) better. Never seen any good mages using the 30 int enchant anyway.

Also, I suggest getting a new enchant on your pants. The one you're using now is meant for rogues and other non-caster classes. :)
