I can't believe this! I've never been so infuriated in my life! God! I'm such a little brat! I'm completely entitled to what I want and if I don't get it I throw a fit like a petulant little child! Nya! Me Me Me Me Me Me!

Weather you got your key 2 years ago or today, you still can't play the game until Thursday. Backers will get their keys and pre-load tomorrow. Quit bitching.

I need a baby to punch.

I smell what you're cookin'

It's all there in the Pre-Purchase Offer section, just click the "Read More" arrow down to see the information.

Opening and closing every door 3 times and hopping over every crack in the sidewalk.

Don't like the idea of having teeth as ugly as they have. Even if I chose a picture where they arent visible.
Kana Rua is definitely not a companion I'd like to keep around for longer than needed.
Yeah, I am that superficial
That's racists.

Since we're making race an issue, I'd also like to thank, as a person of color, Obsidian for adding in the Aumaua. There aren't enough blue people represented in today's society, thank you so much, from the bottom of my heart, for recognizing blue people everywhere. If you make a MMO, you can have my first $10.

I'm worried. I'm worried about work, women, family, financial deals, and this test I'm about to take for a training course. The last thing I'm worried about is Pillars of Eternity,
That's why i opened this thread on a Pillars of Eternity forum and not on Men's Health one
People use terms like "worried" and "concerned" way too often when it's pertaining to something insignificant in how your real life is effected. That's all I'm pointing out here. I've never been "worried" over anything concerning a video game. Just sayin'.

XP - needs tweaking
Wizards don't have per encounter spells
Crafting - meh
Enchanting - I prefer BG2's way but being able to upgrade gear is fine
Romances - couldn't give a hoot, if you can't do one properly then don't bother
Memorization - Don't care
Engagement - horrible, one of the worst decisions regarding combat
Pick pocket - Don't care, you can do it through dialogue I think
Pre-buffing - Not a great idea to remove it, pre-buffs just needed balancing
Inventory - meh, but better than the first beta
Health/Stamina - really needs tuning
Healing spells - they're superbad at the moment, don't like Josh's philosophy about them
Invisibility - they will come, as Invis was implemented late
The biggest thing combat needs is counterspelling.
Starting to regret pre-ordering...

While it's safe to swim in the deep ocean that is D&D, this new lore from PoE can open up new avenues to build something just as deeply engaging and exciting. I'm more that willing to give it a chance, especially after watching all of the BB videos. It's looking pretty damn good to me, and I can't wait until next week to experience it.

Maybe the next game they do will be more along the lines of how NWN worked.

I'm going to sit on the couch and watch the Kardashians all day.

You know, these guys are working really hard on this game, and they're very passionate about it. It's a really great thing to see considering what AAA Publishers and Developers tend to do to great games and franchises. I think whatever the Obsidian guys want to do, is more than likely going to be for the best. Now of course they're listening to us, and I believe they'll do what they can to accommodate the players, because in the end WE are the ones the game is being created for.
-
I hope the game lasts forever and ever and ever.... and ever.
And I really hope there aren't a bunch of ridiculous "Romance" quests and story lines in the game. Oh God... the Mass Effect and Dragon Age "Romance" Crap... how awful. It just lowers the quality of gaming to couch potato, Kardashian watching, mouth-breather mentality.

I think I speak for a fair majority of the RPGCodex on this topic as well, too.
I want whatever the opposite of this guy is. Just because.
What's "area looting" again? Like a loot all option in the vicinity that you're in?

Pre-order cancelled.
Hahaha!

Alrigtht, so next question: Will you be able to stash companions in the stroghold, and switch your party up when you feel like it. This way you can still experience all of the quest lines the Obsidian Characters have to offer, plus create your own characters to use when you feel like.
I realize this would create some level differences where you'd more than likely have to spend some extra time griding to make up for experience that your garrisoned companions will lose.
I believe this is an option after watching the PAX East video, where you'll have Companions garrisoned in the Stronghold.
Ok I found it:
Adventures for idle companions – Companions, that are recruited but aren't in the party, will remain at your stronghold[6] and gain a fractional amount of experience.[7] While they are idling away at the stronghold, they can take part in their own adventures, earning additional experience for themselves and extra money, items and reputation bonuses for you. If a player uses the stronghold system to manage characters when they aren't in the party, they can have full XP parity if the player wants them to.
-
Right. so they way I like to fight is to have melee characters grouped, ranged and then casters. but the 1-6 can work alright, then backspace to select the entire party to move around. Dragging a box or mouse clicking to select party members is not my preferred style of game play.

Yeah, but what is the point of taking the ability for a Cipher in player's team?
Enemies are dead when they lose all endurance anyway.
So unless there are enemies that can stand back up from being knocked out of endurance (trolls ,perhaps?) but that just makes this ability very, very situational. And it shouldn't be, it's the strongest ability tier in the game.
Oh, I didn't realize NPC's had a different health/endurance mechanic.... So no enemy health? Unless you would just call it health to begin with like most games do.
