  1. thanks for the input...so I can flee, but most likely any character who was KO'd will most likely die. So I would sacrifice a lot of my party and have to buy custom ones or pull guys out of my stronghold... Since this is my first playthrough I may get lucky and not stumble into an overwhelming fight (I might need to buff the stealth of my lead tank better or put my rogue up front by default). If I do get into a bad fight I may be able to sacrifice a character and have the rest of my guys flee...the real challenge being is that my Main Character is a Paladin and most likely would be one of the guys who gets KO'd before I realize that I am in trouble... Better cross my fingers
  2. Really enjoying the game so far. I did a few tries at act 1 with different characters before starting my real "first" game. I'm playing on Hard with Trial of Iron. I'm in the early stages of Act 2. I've come pretty close to getting all of my characters killed a couple times. I imagine at some point I am going to stumble into a fight that my party is not ready for. Assuming I realize that I have gotten myself into a fight I can't win is there anyway to flee the encounter (I don't mean break engagement, but actually end the hostile situation)? If there is what happens to any downed characters that are near the enemy? Just trying to see if there is a way I can lose an encounter without actually losing the game (since I am playing Trial of Iron). Thanks
  3. Generally speaking, AMD chips are better than Intel chips when combining CPU with GPU. The AMD A10 in particular is quite good in this regard. I have a gaming desktop and a Laptop with a A10-4600M chip. It plays most games pretty well and should be more then enough for this game (I can play Civ 5 standard map size and at least medium details at 720P without issue as an example). If you get a laptop with an AMD A8 or A10 chip you should be able to play (I would think). Of course it would be great for someone who has BB access to confirm.
  4. Not being familiar with BG1/BG2 (sorry) How do those compare to Divinity:OS (Game I am playing now so easy to make a frame of reference). Also is there some kind of fast travel / portal system to move quickly to areas you have already visited? I have one of the enhanced edition BG games (I think BG2) and I got side tracked during my first play through. I might go back at some point or might just go straight for Pillars when I am ready
  5. Just FYI..Steam now has the ability to buy just the extra content beyond the base game... http://store.steampowered.com/app/291650/
  6. So I think you are suggesting that the Giant Miniature Space Piglet will be one of your 6 party members??? This is kinda crazy. I wonder what class/Race etc... it will be. I just assumed it was some type of add on character / repeatable summons or maybe even an item like a necklace or something (since the other is a ring).
  7. I think I am going to like not having encounter XP. I am currently playing D:OS and I find myself constantly wondering if I should kill things or try and use charisma interaction to get by certain enemies. The debate I am having is not based on role-playing it is based on purely wondering which way will get me more XP. Additionally I am finding that I am checking every last tunnel and area to make sure I did not miss any XP (or side quests). I would prefer to not worry about this and instead get XP for progressing in the game, finding hidden area, and completing side quests (and whether I negotiate or kill something to get to these objectives should not impact how many XP my Characters get).
  8. I have a few questions Can someone explain how companions work in game. Is it basically an extra helper beyond your party and any summons (assuming there are summons)? Is it relatively easy to find companions and the pre-order bonus is just a special one? Not sure if this can be confirmed. I like playing summoning characters to get mobs of friends and a companion just sounds like 1 more friend for the party. I hate to not pre-order to find out I won't get a chance to get a companion for half the game. Lastly, why s the pre-order companion have such a silly name like Jumbo Shrimp. I mean Giant Miniature Space Piglet. Does the Giant cancel out the Miniature to make it a normal sized space piglet? Ok the last question is kinda a joke but the first few I would love any insight people have.
  9.
