KoToR 3: Ideas and Suggestions
Baelzharon replied to Fionavar's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Something else that has come to mind is that KOTOR III needs a new game engine, one that can fully utilize todays newest cards and tech, but at the same time allow older machines the chance to play. One game I've played lately that is very beautiful is Farcry, any chance KOTOR III could be created using that game engine? http://www.farcry-thegame.com/uk/technology.php -
Something that has struck me wrather odd about using Stasis Field/Stun line of force powers is that a Light Side Jedi would never attack a helpless enemy. The very nature of this line of powers is to make your target immobile and helpless while you pretty much kill them with impunity. Doesn't that seem a little non-jedi like, and more dark side?

Vocabulator should have been the first part you find, it is on the body of the HK50 that tries to kill you on Peragus. The other parts are found off a combination of vendors and when you kill some more HK50's on Telos.

Beat the game got some questions

Very high Wisdom (35+), and my force form was force affinity which increases force damage. I was doing 70-100 pts to each sabre per storm. I also kept up Force Enlightment the whole time so any hits that did manage to land on me did hardly any damage at all. Granted most of these abilities won't be available for non Jedi Masters, and I imagine a more melee centric character might have a harder time here then a force weilding character. -
KoToR 3: Ideas and Suggestions

I'm not favorable of the whole "starting over" level grinding any more. I've done it in KOTOR I and now II and pretty much sick of being wimpy for 3/4ths of the game, only to finally get powerful intime for the last chapter of the game. I'd like for once to start out with a fully trained Jedi/Sith but still have new powers to learn in a new Galaxy. I'm kinda sick of Character building, and would prefer a more detailed story. Revan and the Exile were full Masters when they left the Core Worlds. If KOTOR III started up with one of them in "amnesia" the fans would rip Obisidian apart. So KOTOR III would have to either start out with a brand new story arc, or continue where it left off in KOTOR II. If it started out with a new story arc then ya a Padawan in the Exiles new Academy helping to rebuilt the republic would be fun, otherwise a high level adventure like I described. Personally I am more inclined to do a high level epic KOTOR then start all over again at level 1. My idea is based off the LS ending of KOTOR II, and what Kreia said about Revan and why he left. We know that Revan has left the Core worlds, and has traveled out beyond the outer rim in search of the "True Sith". He's either going to destroy them or conquere them but either way it's going to be epic. We also discover that Bastilla has gone after him, and perhaps a few other of his old allies as well. So, KOTOR III should pickup with the Exile traveling in the Ebon Hawk with T3 as his only companion. The story will pick up beyond the outer rim with news that Bastilla has been captured by a minor Sith Lord. You're first mission will be to fight your way in to free her, with all the missions and sub missions needed to get that done. Once freed she will join you and together with her info you will set out to try and catch up with Revan. Finding Revan, this won't be any simple task. The Sith in this region won't be to thrilled with the prospect of the Exile and Revan joining forces be it LS or DS for that matter. Plenty of things could go wrong here, proving plenty of adventures for your party. New people, races, worlds etc to uncover. Eventually you end up finding Reven and either fighting him to the death and becoming the Ultimate Sith Lord, or joining him and setting up the backstory for KOTOR IV original.gif Details: No more amnesia. When making your character the game should give you say 15 levels of choices to make. Either have it auto select everything from a template, and/or give you the option to fully customize all your skills/powers/feats etc. New Abilities, powers etc etc. This is the Sith Empire we'll be fighting in, and this will require our Hero to learn new Force Powers, and defences. Fighting in KOTOR III will require more tactical choices then just hitting Flury and watching the show. This should be a high level adventure from the start, even offering the ability to import a character from KOTOR II? -
Beat the game got some questions

Hmm something must have been really buggy in my game cause when she summoned the 3 sabers for me she just stood there and watched me Force Storm them do death. She didn't attack me till they were dead, and I never moved at all just stood there and unleashed hell on them. Was she supposed to help the sabers? -
Small things that KOTOR 2 lacked

KOTOR II lacked comedy. There was times during KOTOR 1 where I genuinely Laughed Out Loud at some events and conversations. KOTOR II was much darker in comparison. -

Force Enlightment was awesome, however it had a slight bug in it. Sometimes when it wore off my screen would have that fuzzy look to it that you get when running using Knight Speed etc. It would fix itself if I reapplied Enlightment, which was nearly all the time anyways. -

At the end, you're talking about Kreia when she summons 3 sabers? I only faught 3 while Kreia just sat there. Was she supposed to attack me too? I just put up Force Enlightment, and kept it up while I pumped out Force Storms. I think I healed myself once. As a Sentinal 15/Jedi Master 15 I had over 600 Force Points (38 Wis), and never once tapped myself out with a 26 Cha lol. My Def was around 45 too. -
My KOTOR III idea (light spoilers)

It's more like a "Choose Your Own Adventure" with RPG elements on the side.

Most component-worthy item???
Baelzharon replied to Arnkell's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
By the time I really need components (trying to keep 5 or 6 Jedi worth of Lightsabers up and running) there was enough weapons and armor in the game to keep my components up. A lot of "Named" Melee weapons that can't be upgraded can often break down to 1000+ components. I never had to buy stuff to make components because the game provided enough loot to break down. -

When I beat the game this time with Handmaiden, Kreia and Bao as my main companions. So I do have a lot of characters to still flesh out. I want to do an all Droid run through, and also solo. This next time through will DS just to experience the DS story line, and then I'll experiment with weird runs. -

I was thinking of wearing that Dancers Outfit throughout the entire game. Playing the part of an evil ex-stripper out to kill off all her old clients. I'm kinda curious if anyone says something funny about wearing that outfit in the later parts of the game. After seeing how useless my companions were playing solo does have it's allure. However, I am looking forward to converting them to Sith Slaves, and that requires me to bring them along. -

Beat the game for the first time with a 15 Sentinel, 15 Jedi Master and I have to say it was too easy. I think back to the end fight with Malak and then the fight with these Sith wimps and really don't think they offered much of a challenge. Darth Nihilous what a joke, I'm glad I couldn't understand his jarbled Sith Speak so I could quickly get to the task of chopping him up. It was very anti-climatic to say the least, 1 or 2 Master Fluries and he was toast... Darth Sion OMG, he is the most long winded Boss I ever met. Ohhh Woe is me, my Sith Master has left me to die, and chosen you over me.. Waaahhh wahh, FFS this guy is supposed to be evil incarnate? My farts are more evil, and probably more effective at clearing a room then this guy. Finally I get to fight Kreia and learned from her why Sion was so long winded. What is with the Sith being so melodramatic, but in the end ultra wimps. She blasted 3 Jedi Masters in one attack, and yet a few fluries from me and she is begging for the end? I let Mira die, I honestly wasn't interested in her enough to bother fighting that furball. Now some questions.. The whole "Find Fuel for Telos" quest just went no where. I went to Nar Shaddaa, made a deal with Vogga to stop the attacks on his freighters to get him to sell fuel to Telos etc etc, and that was it? Maybe I missed something, but I never had a prompt to do anything more once I destroyed the ship. Is there any way to modify the behavior settings for your allies? They wouldn't autoattack unless I was attacked, even when set on agressive. My typical room clearing consisted of Statis Field, followed by Force Storm and that didn't give the enemy much chance to do anything but die. What would happen is my allies would spend 10 seconds buffing themselves up just to get done intime to see everything drop dead regardless. I don't want to purposly gimp myself just so my allies do something more model weapons and armor. I'm going to go through the game a 2nd time now as a Female Counselor who will end up being a Sith Lord on hard setting just to see if the game can give more of a challenge. It's going to be fun corrupting all those goodies to become Sith. I had the most fun creating new Jedi then actually doing the story line.
