    As a matter of fact I've jsut gone out and bought one of the CD's that does that. I'm not sure if it's actually doing anything though, since nothing is coming up on screen when it is in the drive, I can just hope it does it without some kind of program showing up.

    I've just been trying out different things over the past few days trying to fix this problem, such as downloading firmware and running through all the things that could possibly fix teh problem that Microsoft help suggests, etc. I'm starting to consider what you guys have said might be right about it being past its time, but i'm also thinking that maybe the drive might need a little clean? Surely a bit of dust on the lens may stop it from detecting discs at all in there.

     

    Oh and btw, no I don't really have any way of testing the drive on another computer, I'm not really in the know of how to remove it from my computer and don't particularly want to risk doing it wrong and messing something else up.

    That game looks simply awesome.

     

    In fact, both of those here do, especially considering Prey now has a mod which allows you to make your own portals. One thing I noticed on Portal though, does it have any other weapons apart from your portalmakermachine? I can imagine it being a little more awesome if not, since you actually have to think about what you do before you do it, instead of shooting stuff mindlessly. Intellectually challenging, I believe is the word.

     

    Plus, the room for experimentation seems great, as Bok has already demonstrated! :)

    Why? How is this any different from the lottery which we have in England (guess there's one in the US) and is that illegal? No.

     

    I can't see any problem with it personally, but I'm not too politically-minded so I don't know a great deal about the whole thing, however I understand that the key problem is lack of voters, and the way I see it, this just promotes voting a heck of a lot more.

     

    Although, I can see what Steve meant by addressing simply the symptom and not the actual problem, as there will be one crap politician in, and one lucky rich person.

    'Twas pretty impressive although I can't see the appeal of speedrunning through an RPG such as Morrowind, even though I've never played it, as you are skipping all the story and that's what's key for an RPG.

     

    Also, if that's all there is to that game, it really doesn't look all that impressive to me, not exactly very big unless it takes a while to get to wherever that guy actually flys to.

     

    On the note of Speedrunning anyway, I can definitely see how speedruns are fun, having tried to do it and seen it on other games (Doom3), particularly fun, and seeing all the challenges of finding the easiest ways around things and knowing where everything is and how to avoid it etc..
