    Of course. Cause when you're stranded in a parking lot 84 miles away from your house, you can just waltz right over to the rock in your backyard, pick up the key, and waltz right on back!  :p

    Imagine the portal gun with the grav gun in half life 2... :shudders in geekasmic glee:

    I could totally imagine the amount of creative destruction caused with this, what with shooting cars right through portals to give the enemy a little surprise.

     

    And multiplayer? Well that would just be awesomely mad. Can't imagine being possible with more than something like 4 players at a time though, it would just get too hectic! :p

    Petay has been on a bit of a movie-fest tonight. Or at least more than I usually would in one night.

     

    First up: Star Wars Episode 4

     

    Then: Batman Begins

     

    SW goes without saying; absolutely and totally awesome, always so regardlesss of how many times I watch it, and regardless of how geeky that makes me right now :p Can't wait for next week's one now, I have an addiction for the series which needs to be quenched.

     

    Batman Begins: Pretty awesome movie. Can't say I watched all of it though, since I started watching after what seemed like a pretty key hour of the movie at the beginning. Interesting plot, hardly realistic, but then again, who cares? If it's about a big human flying bat who saves an entire city from insanity and certain peril from some psychotic and crazy villains themselves, then I certainly don't mind realism problems. But yeah, I enjoyed that old chestnut anyway.

     

    Edit: Now I realise that that last paragraph could be totally summed up in just more generaql terms such as 'any superhero movie'. I liek big paragraphs :).

    Neverwinter Nights with no mods installed. It's been a while since I played it.

    I bought taht along with a few of the expansion packs a little while ago, and quite frankly am really quite unimpressed and couldn't get into it. I just don't/can't get to grips with the technicalities of the combat and having to right-click on enemies to do special attacks for each class or whatever, and it got me a little bit how you have to rest after using a spell. Not really my type of game.

     

    It could also be because I played kotor before it and I may have been spoiled by the fluidity and ease of combat in that game.

    I can see what Hades means, I've tried a similar kind of thing on just a simple 2 week holiday in Austria before. You watch enough of a certain language on teevee, you can pick up certain things about it without all the hassle of knowing exactly what it means, etc. Sure it may not be the best of all that language but if you watch enough i'm sure it would give you a certain basis of that language, as irrelevant as this is to the original idea of the thread.

    All I have to say is I've picked up more spanish in my six months as a McDonalds Employee than I ever did in highschool. Also most of the necessity for bilingualism is for the southern cali folks.

    That settles it then! Get rid of all the non-Spanish speaking employees in SoCal and it's done! :)

     

    Seriously, i agree with Hurlshot in that that is pretty inaccurate, it's pretty clearly jsut a crappy chain mail letter, there wouldn't even be enough bilingual employees to take up half the jobs lost from not being bilingual :)

    I'm not sure I follow that entirely, but does that mean if someone's phone were to be struck by lightning on the other end of the line then something would come out your side?
