Ive just started a new game and im on nar shaddaa. Jedi Sentinel--->Master. :cool: no bugs so far....anyway I was wondering what kind of weapons you guys are using. My party includes: HK and Atton/Bao-Dur and they wield 2 Heavy Mandalorian Pistols. With upgrades they do 6-15 energy damage + a good chance to make big criticals. What`s the best pistol/rifle you`ve ever managed to get?

Same problem here...even after i killed all the people inside. The slow down isnt bad, but a bit bothering. I`ve downloaded all the fixes for ati cards, but this slow down still remains. Guess im stuck with it.

1. Is it possible to convince Serroco to attack the Exchange on Nar Shaddaa? I always get *failure* when trying to persuade. And then they attack, but im going DS so that isnt what i want. Shouldnt i talk to them?? Want to make refugees conditions even worse!! 2. What are youre stats on your personal crystal? Mine seems to only add strenght, dexterity, constitution...It doesnt give good combat advantages like: attack modifier or extra damage. And its been focused like four times....I realize that adding dexterity and strength isnt bad, but id rather have a killer lightsaber.

But when his remote gets the ability to repair non-human npc`s, i started to dream about GOTO&REMOTE--SUPERTEAM! wouldnt it be great if remote had a really powerful laser cannon!! It should fire like that republic ship on peragus when it tries to blow Ebon Hawk to bits... And the same gun for GOTO or even bigger! Because i like to have npc`s who simply provide "covering fire" when i do the dirty work, this would awesome. Having Atton and Mandalore shooting with repeating rifles just doesnt feel enough... you can find many solutions to your problem on this site, just use search. Or scroll down the tech support section. I solved this by downloading 4.11 drivers for my ati card and the putting the .dll file in kotor2 folder. Or you can put the "disable vertex buffer objects=1" under graphics options in swkotor2.ini. If you have an ati card these should work for you too...If you dont, well......hmmm...cant think of anything else

I read somewhere that the guards at the entrance and squidhead could be killed only when you meet them for the first time. After that you lose the opportunity. So you should forget about this mission.

REALLY! I HAD NO IDEA! Really i know that and i know that this forum is using a program to sensor stuff, but it`s still stupid because that word will be used often in this forum, atleast by me.

Try disabling movies. I know it doesnt make sence, because you can watch movies, but it fixed a similar problem for me.

FOUND A SOLUTION Read a few other posts here and stumbled upon a crash problem with ati- and laptop-users. Their game kept freezing always after movies. I had that same problem in the past. I fixed it by downloading new drivers for my ATI 9600., the latest cataclyst. Obviously when i re-installed K2 something erased it, because when i disabled movies everything started working again!! " Im wondering that how could re-installing K2 change my drivers. Arent they in a completely diffrent folder and used only by my ATI card? Or did the cataclyst add some files to my K2 file??? Id like to apologize to Tk102 for needlessly blaming his savegame-editor :"> nevertheless could you still look into the other bug(most likely my mistake) that i had. I just dont know how to create that log file. I cant believe all this trouble for some stupid movie clitch...that i had fixed before! But thank you all for helping me

I cleared override-folder of all the K1 files and unknown ones--> didnt help. Shows a blank screen after the movie. Cleared all the files from override--> still didnt help. After deletion of all files loaded back to previous save---> didnt help. I had a bit similar problem once with K1. I was using the Ebon Hawk basement mod, where i can buy and sell new stuff below the "first level." It showed the selection in the elevator where i can go up or down, selected down--> it never got to the "load" part, but just gave a black screen with sounds in the background. Later i noticed that the modules files werent where they were supposed to be-->fixed that--> started working. Could this be like that? It cant find the Telos Citadel Station module or something. The whole thing starts with my arrest, doesnt it. So maybe im missing some file, just a hunch. Because now it shouldnt be a matter of non-working mods, since i deleted them all...

well....I re-installed kotor2 and started a new game. Finished Peragus and going to Telos ---a new bug appears!!! (w00t) i hate this game! Im not using cheats or KSE and still this happens! WHY!! OH WHY!!! Maybe because i have 25 mods/fixes running? Anyway. This happens when im finished with peragus and there is a cutscene with me+atton+kreia in the ****pit. Hyperdriving to Citadel Station. Talked to Kreia about her hand and the events in the galaxy. Then came back to the ****pit, talked to atton and then used the galaxy map to transport to Telos. It shows the movie clip when arriving to Citadel Station--> after that screen goes blank and it doesnt even start loading. And why is the word: "****pit" sensored....... I feel really stupid posting only these "bug reports", but i dont know why this game is giving me such a hard time. Kotor1 worked fine with mods and so did kotor2, just recently it began to show signs of "erratical behaviour". Perhaps a memory wipe is needed I thought re-installing the game would free me of the possible glithes done by KSE. I didnt even put "Enable Cheats....." in swkotor.ini.

That happens to me everytime....i never thought about it as a bug. Just open the party selection screen and add kreia+atton from there. Works for me, how bout you?? Beyond this i dont know anything else....

well i just re-installed kotor2 and updated it to 1.0b. Gotta try again and again until i find somekind of solution. Is it possible to un-patch kotor back to 1.0 if nothing works? Or do i have to re-install?

*force enlightment strikes* I`ve left the editor running in the background while playing the game! maybe that`s what creating the problems... never really thought about that. havent changed any classes, thanks to this forum<-- seen that a lot of problems come from changing classes. Thanks for the tip, im gonna go play...i`ll report back

Panther, *give me all your money and go jump in that pit* hey maybe next time you can give some real advice instead of giving total crap How am I clearly "in the wrong?" i never said that these problems were the games fault, i know that KSE and Kotor obviously dont clik, atleast on my computer...get it?? Your first reply was: "dont use cheats - play it the normal way - or dont play at all." It`s pretty obvious that you dont know anything about this problem, since all you do is whine. (Related to Carth Onasi??) E_Motion is the only one who gave atleast some clue to what might help. If you do know something, how about sharing that information instead of what youre doing right now.

Oh, so was that reply really necessary?? I think it`s really frustrating that when i ASK for advice on a problem, some people start telling me wrong i am, because i play with the savegame-editor. It doesn`t really help me at all....I mean just look at all these replies! Over ten of them and i`ve only gotten one real advice. thanks E_Motion

im using KSE v3.3.2, or was using... I edited my very first file on Peragus even before Kreia wakes up, so every save made since than has been affected. It didnt really matter backing up that file. It`s really frustrating to begin from nar shaddaa twice in a row. I edited my pc`s stats, skills and feats. Sometimes items too, when i want to get some rare items. The general idea is that i modify my whole party towards a certain "style" for example: a sneaking party or all melee or all blasters.. what would that be?? please tell me! i downloaded the modmanager for kotor (maybe it`ll help avoid clashes that mess the game up.

I`ve used the editor in kotor1 once and it made my game freeze up. It didnt even help to load from previous saves, everything went to hell.... later i played the game through without the editor, but used cheats to see if that had anything to do with freezing up. It didnt. Kotor2 had same problems. Tried to use editor twice and got tired of it. It just made a big mess of everything. Played it through without cheats and then with cheats--> no problems. Why does the game go mad with the editor?? 1.0b patch is installed, maybe it doesnt work with that...or could some mods interfere with it??

Who are you to tell me how I play this game! I`ve played it so many times through without any cheats on LS and DS, that it`s getting boring. With cheats the game is very different--> i can re-play over and over and over... I asked for advice to the bug, not to hear a lame lecture about the "right way to play"

i started the game from the beginning and used only savegame-editor. Same bug still appears!!!!!!!!!!! :'( :'( i tried to fix this problem with the editors` quest "adder" . Now when i load my save and try to go in to the ebon hawk, i lose all my partymembers and a text appears in the party selection screen: " I am broken, so very broken." WTF And that`s not all. When entering ebon hawk and the it starts loading, the game goes back to the beginning. (where i can : START A NEW GAME-LOAD GAME- and so on...) It also freezes completely, so i have to ctrl+alt+delete to get out the game. Is the savegame-editor malfunctioning or has someone else had this problem??? I dont want to start all over again.
