  1. Most video cards have a no-resize option. So even if you have a widescreen, it shouldn't be a problem. (You'll just have a little black at the edges)
  2. burn, lol IMO: un-complete-able quests are silly. Especially in such a linear RPG. If you want an open ended game, don't play a quest based RPG. Try something like Morrowind.
  3. simple: a "clear" ligthsaber would just be one outside the visible spectrum. Although I do agree its a silly idea, it just wouldnt look right.
  4. I find it difficult to understand that there are cultures where incest and p
  5. Cult: A religion or religious sect generally considered to be extremist or false, with its followers often living in an unconventional manner under the guidance of an authoritarian, charismatic leader. How do the Jedi fit that description at all? Their "religion" is more grounded in (their) reality than ANY religion in the real world. If you view the Jedi as a cult, then I suppose you'd have to view any "real world" religion as a cult as well. So either you're really, really anti-religion, or you subscribe to a set of beliefs that does not leave any room to consider any other possibility or point of view.... Not that I'm referring to any specific doctrine... *cough*
  6. "Killing an opponent is the course of action when you cannot over-power them to prevent harm to innocents and themselves. Otherwise it would be morally acceptable to have Jedi acting as judge, jury and executioner -- with the obvious results." So you're saying the council should have killed Revan, their "prisoner," instead of giving her a new personality? I don't think I could agree with that. To me, death is the ultimate punishment.
  7. "Irrelevant? Did they use him/her by accident? lol. I accept the Jedi's efforts to manipulate Revan, but i don't agree with the argument that the Jedi spared Revan because of the goodness of their hearts." I don't so much care about the motives of specific Jedi Masters, but the larger issue of morality and the Jedi Code. That is, what would the Jedi Code dictate the Jedi do with Revan? After all, isn't that the larger, more important issue? Whether or not the Jedi Code is flawed? "We are discussing the moral choices/implications of the Jedi Council's willful actions on REvan, aren't we? So if they didn't actually do anything, then the discussion is moot. (A very long digression over three posts to make an aside, but I think I've made myself clear now.)" Yes, we are. But are we not discussing their actions AFTER Bastilla healed Revan and kept her from dying? That is, what the Jedi do with their prisoners? It a completely different discussion whether or not Bastilla should have healed Revan or let her die. Hence, that is why I think Bastilla's decision to "keep Revan alive after the damage caused by Malak", doesn't have anything to do with the discussion. "If it is not possible, see my previous post about insufficient control of the situation, above (). Lack of options = blunt action." Can't find it, could u link or quote urself?
  8. "If you couldn't figure it out before the end of the first section that just shows your ineptness. Not mine." Considering you didn't even post in the "first section" just shows your delusions. Not mine. And frankly, you were the only person to suggest it. Or did you mean first section, as in "first section of the game"? Regardless, congratulations on both your excellent diction and your ability to not even address the issue. I also love how avid you are to have a civil conversation and state your opinion as fact in the process. I think angsty boys like you are cute
  9. Then let me be the first to congratulate on being super genius, considering you still haven't answered the question how you knew, when OE did not. Perhaps you just can't accept that such a simple observation would destroy your entire moronic tirade? <awaiting more scathing and sudorific replies> PS: Posts: 6,478 Posts: 8 I'll let you figure that one out.
  10. Why are we delving into philosophy here? This isn't that complicated. Light side Revan realized that what the council did was right - "I understand, Bastilla, you had no choice." So why can't you? edit: sorry, didn't see above post Again, do you really think this is possible? Honestly. What would contain her? A force shield? 100 meters of concrete walls? No, there is not one single thing they could have done to contain her. Again, what does this have to do with anything?
  11. Right, because, with your incredible powers of foresight, you could tell immediately Kreia would be a boss, EVEN THOUGH even Obsidian was not sure she would be. Go figure.
  12. Exactly. Garbage. One MAJOR difference between Revan and the common criminal. The common criminal isn't the most powerful being in the known galaxy. "The will of a sith lord is not so easily manipulated." If they restored her original identity, she would, with ease, escape and continue her conquest of the galaxy, as if nothing had happened. In this case, there are no non-lethal control methods, besides somehow convincing her to stop what she is doing. And if you think "talking her out of it" would work... well, it wont. Again, "the will of a sith lord is not so easily manipulated." What does this have to do with anything?
  13. You guys shoudl step back and look at the picture as a whole: what were all the possible choices one could do with near-death Revan? 1) Kill her. 2) Restore her original identity. 3) Let her live as an empty shell with no memory or personality at all; a vegatable. 4) Give her an identity that wouldn't screw the galaxy over. Of all the possible choices, only number 4 makes any sense at all - both from the point of view of "modern ethics" and the jedi code. The fact that the jedi council subsequently used her is irrelevant.
  14. omg! Window mode seriously fixed all of my crashing problems. Before I would get a blackscreen after every cutscene, because of res switching I think. But now, I can continue the game uninterrupted. For those of you having trouble with crashing, try window mode out - it may be the solution you're looking for.
  15. No...she was neutral. Otherwise her meter would have been at the bottom of the DS half of the Alignment bar. Take care not to think so far outside the box you forget the box itself. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> She was evil. Would you character have actually trusted kreia had her meter been at the bottom? No! That would be retarded. She needed to be "neutral" to get close to the exile, so she could understand her. So she acted "neutral" and disguised her true intentions. Did you actually listen to the dialogue in the game? Its actually quite clear if you take some time and think about it.
