  1. You should be able to use the hood to conceal your appearance.  Perhaps in combination with the Jedi Mind Trick so that you can appear almost invisible to casual lookers.  Of course if you draw attention to yourself (lit saber?), that's your fault.

With that said maybe you could use it as a sneek attack. Instead of the visuals of you disapearing you hide your figure...

Perhaps but characters as powerful or more powerful than you won't be fooled.

Like how Obi Wan managed to make it to the tractor beam and turn it off without being noticed but Vader saw him and recognized his presence when near.

  2. Perhaps. It's rumored that he may latch onto John Jameson after a trip to the moon (instead of the stone).

But they seem to already have a number of potential villains they have started to set up. What about Dr. Connors aka The Lizard?

  3. Hmm, so being level 20 or 30 is even more powerful than Yoda or Palpatine? O_o. Interesting... One can one wonder how powerful Sith like Exar Kun or Marka Ragnos were, then.. :p

Probably level 20 or slightly below then. The official rules don't go above 20 yet. There is no way any PC in KOTOR or KOTOR2 should be more powerful than Yoda or Palpatine. You don't have the hundreds of years or decades of experience of these two.

  4. It was Norman Green Goblin, then Harry Green Goblin, then the Hobgoblin who was a merc that found and used the Osbourne technology. Then it was the Demogoblin (I think that is his name) and lastly there was a 3rd Green Goblin who found a GG cache but was trying to use it to be a hero, but he was later killed if memory serves.

As for the movie, I liked it.

And then years later Norman Osborn showed up again out of nowhere as the Green Goblin again. He got better. :p

Harry could be done as a hero at first in Spider-Man 3 (but hates Spider-Man) until eventually the insanity takes him over and in Spider-Man 4 is one of the villains. It wouldn't make sense to repeat a similar pattern to the first movie.

  6. where has it been posted by a DEV that we get an apprentice....link it please

In some interviews they said one theme about this game was the master/apprentice relationship. I think that's where the speculation came from. That doesn't necessarily mean to me that you get an apprentice.

  7. It's too bad they didn't decide to expand on the character creation phase like allowing multiple races for you the PC to choose from or for that matter choosing non Jedi classes. Maybe I just wanted to role play a Han Solo type character.

  8. Come on guys what about the classic abilities like the mind trick!!!

It'd be fun if implemented properly. Of course, it was in KOTOR1 to some minor extent as Force Persuade.

I've yet to see a game allow you to be invisible using mind trick like Obi Wan in A New Hope when he was deactivating the tractor beam or Luke in ROTJ when he was entering Jabba's palace.

  9. Yuthura Ban was an idoit because(the first time i played) i set my mind on becoming a level 100 jedi and get maxout stats and force powers but there is a level cap on 20.

Perhaps that is not the cap for all Jedi's but it's how much better you can become from simple combat alone. Perhaps to advance past that level requires tutoring from a more powerful Jedi. Yoda for some and Palantine for others.

Yes because Yoda is level 19 and can train higher level characters? I beleive that's his level. 20 is the designed maximum level in Star Wars D20, regardless of what Obsidian or BioWare say. Vader and Palpatine are also level 20 or below.

How do you know what levels they're at?

Star Wars D20 Official Rulebook by Wizards of the Coast. Their stats are listed. I've read the book. KOTOR1 & 2 are based (loosely) on those rules.

  11. In KOTOR1 you could not kill the party members anytime you wish, but you can still leave them at Ebon Hawk...

So whats the big deal about kicking them out...

It's not too realistic. It's a simplistic solution to a problem done better in previous games. It restricts my choices as a player.

The story evolves around the characters too much for it I think... Imagine killing Bastila at the start...

You might be right in your own view, but I personally would be willing to sucrifice those choices for better storyline involving the characters...

There is no reason though for all characters that you can add to your party to be essential to the plot. I'd prefer some more variety in who I can add (or maybe the ability to create more than one character) and perhaps some characters could be expendable. It's not like Canderous or Zaalbar or Juhani were really that essential to the plot of KOTOR1.

I don't really expect Obsidian changing the way this worked from KOTOR1 anyway so I guess it's a moot point.

  12. Well since apparently NWN's OC was rewritten six months before release I wouldn't be surprised if the NWN designers pulled the concept of the character from the KOTOR1 team. Of course it could be the opposite but there wasn't much to like about NWN OC and that would explain some of the low quality in the game.
