  1. Umm, no. ;-) It looks like Campbell and Lucas created their little lovefest *after* the original Star Wars movie became a cultural phenomenon. George provided the popularity and Joseph provided the academic 'blessings'. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Not to nit pick..... Never mind I love to nit pick, just ask all my monkey friends. Joseph Campbell wrote "The Hero with a Thousand Faces" in 1949. After reading several articles on the origins of Star Wars I have found that Lucas had read this book in college then picked it up again while he was writing the movies
  2. I picked up the Sims2 just to see what all the fuss was about. I had to give it a solid "Meh." Not much different than watching myself go about my day. Except for the Alien Abductions and resulting pregnancy which oddly enough only happened to the males. Stronghold 2 is out so I'm looking forward to that.
  3. And if his name was Vin M Diesel you could spell Denim Levis! Hmmmmm. or! Devil Sin or! Vine Slide
  4. The sexy dancer's outfit I got after shaking my groove thing for Vogga the Hutt. Very much like Leia's outfit. Hutts must have a thing for metal bikinis. I wore it around for a while but without much success. The defensive bonus on something like that must be -10. And Atton didn't even notice!!
  5. Do you have ANY idea how long it takes to read the 20 pages of this thread? If I repeated your comment I apologize. I try to read threads from first to last before I post but sometimes I miss some. Shall I consult you before posting?
  6. Sushi is rice. Sashami is raw fish (maybe everyone knows tht i dunno, but I didn't till i ate at a sushi restaurant last year) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Actually Sushi means "rice seasoned with sweet vinegar and raw fish" The Japanese have about 6 words for rice that I know of O-kome "uncooked rice" go-han "cooked rice" ra-isu "rice on a plate foreigner style" and some others that refer to it being hulled or not. The only reason I know this is because I live here and am often laughed at for using the wrong words for things. And..... D
  7. Thank you nerv2112 That is exactly what I meant.
  8. Hmmmmm. I was thinking I would like to see the KOTOR series continue until it catches up with the movies timeline. I think it would be neat to see how the actions of Revan or the Exile tie into the Skywalker saga. "Luke! I am your Great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great grandfather!" Just a dream.
  9. Thank you, I was wondering when somebody was going to mention that. While the philisophical discussion is fascinating, let us not forget that George Lucas created "The Force" much like L. Ron Hubbard created "Scientology" (may his eyes be eaten by small rodents..Hubbards not Lucas.) As I recall George was reading a great deal of Joseph Campbell and Jung at the time he wrote Star Wars. Having said that, it seems to me that The Force is some kind of collective consciousness that is neither inherently good or bad. You as an individual can attempt to choose a side but with the understanding
  10. I voted for Nihlius and not just because he went down like a gizka on juma juice either. 1. His name is so obvious. He might as well call himself Darth Gonna Kill Stuff. 2. 3 words.... Scary Clown Mask. He looked like a Mexican Pro Wrestler to me.
  11. Call me crazy but I liked the Protocol Droid in Vogga's warehouse. It sounded A LOT like Tim Curry (with some synthesizer of course) . He has such a distinctive voice that it just jumps out at me whenever I hear it. And being a Frank-n-Furter groupie from way back makes me extra sensitive I guess. "Antici.................pation" mmmm....makes me all shivery inside.
