  1. It's just... not even one. Not one mention. Not even in the "comprehensive strategy guide". ... That's just... weird.
  2. I just thought about that. With as many of us that have had problems, why doesn't a single review or even the strategy guide ( ) mention the flaws with Force Speed and Armor? The cutscenes cutting off? Blackscreens/freezes/workbench issues? It just seems... weird. A little beyond weird - almost like they got a different version or I'm missing where reviewers mentioned bugs. Has anyone seen a review that mentioned bugs or glitches?
  3. Ok, say that's true... that would imply they designed a game they knew the system couldn't handle properly. That's worse than an accidental bug. I don't think they did that. Although I wouldn't mind a dev chiming in and saying so.
  4. Very well said. Thanks for summing that up for several of us. So much potential... *sigh* This could have been amazing.
  5. Well, after replacing my disc it's doing better, but there are still broken quests and Force Powers. So some of it does appear to be a bad burn issue, and some of it's code.
  6. All I can do is bash them.... anyone else getting this problem? They take about 10 pts of damage and then can't be interacted with.
  7. Yes, I talked to Kreia about every single companion, and got no scenes and limited dialog. Edit: I did get told I loved Visas, to boot. (Really? I missed that somewhere.) This despite taking all the most romance-like options with the Handmaiden.
  8. No - I got no cut or splashscreens at the end at all. After the convo with Kreia, I flew off into a nebula, roll credits. nothing after the credits. That whole ending scenes thing was just not done as far as I could tell. Edited: toned myself down a notch
  9. Did I miss something or did this get dropped from the game entirely? I got nothing even vaguely like this at the ending - LSM.
  10. Akari states bugs being fixed for PC version So there's some hope at least. What they admit is a problem, they obviously have to work to fix.. right? Why the harder-to-fix release would come out first still mystifies me, but if they own that there are bugs, there's at least slim hope for a fixed xbox disc, right? Right?
  11. A developer's cut release could help offset the $$ losses of releasing a patched disc or the cost of replacing this possible "bad batch" earlier... Just sayin'.
  12. FYI All... Swapped out my disc for a later shipment copy at said friend's Gamestop... and the new disc so far works beautifully on my xbox. Sample difference: First disc: Jekk'Jekk Tarr - Mira wandered around in her regular outfit throughout with no breathing problems and everyone talking to her like she was wearing an environment suit. She was even asked to remove it, nothing happens, then all of a sudden people are shocked to see it's Mira. New disc: She actually was depicted wearing the suit. :D :D :D PS: Loaded from same save, just different discs. I'm giving the game another shot with this new disc to see how much better it can be.
  13. So much potential and so little execution... ugh. It was like trying to find a rose in lot overgrown with weeds. I finished the game, and I am *very* disappointed. The freezes and spontaneouly ending cutscenes aside, the volume of dialog problems (psychic dialog, talking about past quests in present tense and vice versa, unpredictable loops etc., etc., etc.) just killed it for me. I have a new XBox, runs K1/Halo2/Ghost Recon etc. flawlessly. And for those who are saying vocal minority, I have a story for you. My roommate is the store manager of a very successful gamestop. K2 has been responsible for more attempted returns and exchanges than any other game since he's run that store, going on 2 years now. Universally, it's been because of glitches or apparent glitches. So if it is a minority, it's a large one. And for an un-patchable release, there's no justifying that. Don't forget there's no Live plug-in, so it would have to be a new disc to replace any previous ones with problems. Also, there are so many story points left unexplained... not even knowing why you crash or what happens after it at one point is just ridiculous. It feels like a totally deus ex machina plot-push that they couldn't justify. This could have been SO good... so very many solid or fabulous ideas and theories, just so poorly executed. I does give me hope for future Obsidian titles - whether I spend my money on those depends entirely on how they handle cleanup on this one. I am holding out hope based on people claiming glitch-free play that the glitches may have been a bad batch - a burn or compile problem, and if so I'm hoping that people that got the bad batch will be alowed to exchange their discs for a non-bugged version. The fact that the glitch and dialog flaws compress towards the end does seem to strongly evidence a rush or less care taken with those parts. Notably, the final planet returns to mostly glitch-free play after a headlong tumble through many getting there. Here's hoping they take some ownership and fix what they can. -Vyper Out.
  14. I can confirm that these force powers do not work, on at least 3 discs/2 systems. Verifed via messages feedback that it wasn't a display glitch.
