  1. Yes... just as if you now earn enough Dark Side points, you'll gain the +3 Dark Side bonus. Interesting way of thinking though... Top of the Light Side of the force... Persuade someone to jump off a cliff because they looked at you funny, but its alright! Give a beggar 5 credits, and there's no love lost! Back on top once again! --- "Look officer, I know I robbed that bank and shot two of the guards.. but I gave 5 chits to the beggar outside, cant we just leave it at that?" :D
  2. Its no bug.. you have to leave them on the Ebon Hawk... though if you don't have the Hawk, I believe you can still leave them behind. On the party management screen, unselect your party members from the group, so there is only your main characters portrait shown (ie, so you cannot switch characters).
  3. Star Wars Battlefront had a downloadable update that fixed and sped up LAN play... that puts Microsoft -and- Lucasarts in the same group for releasing bug fixes to a console game. KotOR2 -could- have an update on the Xbox via OXM, as most games including non-Live ones will check the TDATA folder for another default.xbe... and thats something that doesn't need a mod chip! I can't say Ive experienced any of the mentioned bugs on the Xbox, but have just been a little disappointed with all the content that was cut out due to time constraints. What I'm personally hoping for is a "director's cut" update that will put the majority of the content back in... even if the update comes on a $9.95 disc that just installs a "patch" to the Xbox. I'm sure I'm not the only one on this forum that would pay that... ... now before anyone says "i'm not paying for an update to fix the game!", think of it as buying a carton of Coke for the coders to spend the extra time to finish the game as -they- wanted it to be seen. Much like seeing the remastered Episode 4 again because you get to see Han Solo talk to Jabba. There is already a restoration project in the works by a group of fans... if you can't make a patch, and you can't release an update disc, then can you -please- help these guys.
  4. Damn.. I wouldn't have even thought of that. To STDSkillz: Thankyou.. thankyou for pointing out how stupid and damaged in the head I am... and I truly am grateful for the reply... For the record, if anyone else should have the same situation as me, look at the little in-game "help" section at the bottom... "Press X to switch character." To Obsidian: You've done a great job of being easily able to distinguish between the games if there are multiple people playing on the one Xbox.. a feature I truly hope becomes commonplace in games in the future...
  5. Obsidian team, I've just played through and finished Sith Lords, and have decided to play the game through as a Light side character... only to find my previous saved games no longer appear in the game list. I thought it may be a small bug that was just a co-incidence on my system, but it seems a friend has had the same problem also.. and he had quite a lot more saves than I. Now when I save the game, the first slot is "Game 3"... the other games are not there, but it will still not overwrite them either as they're all still visible in the Microsoft Dashboard. I tried creating a new game again, and sure enough the save from the first, complete game is missing along with the new game I'd just created. PLEASE tell me there is a work-around for this issue, even if it means transferring the saves to a PC to make any changes. Regards, BC
  6. Hey there, I've started a Jedi Guardian, but very much in the Dark Side at the moment. I'm focusing on heavy armour, and strong weapons with rather limited force usage. I used to use Affliction and Energy Resistance before entering a fight... few bonuses for me, poison to the enemy. I've since reached (without spoiling for anyone) the first ice area, and I'm sparring... so I've taken off my armour, upgraded from my ever-loved Affliction to Plague, and it works a treat. I've now saved the game, moved on only to find out I can no longer cast Plague. No-one scream "bug!" "bug!" -- its partly my own fault -- Plague is restricted by armour. I'm fairly certain this wasn't the case in the first Knights of the Old Republic, as I also went a Dark Jedi Guardian to begin with... My question is.. Is there any way I can select Affliction over Plague in combat? Any way of setting it so that Plague does not appear when selecting what Force Power to use? I can put down wasting one Force Power to my own stupidity and not reading the whole description before getting it ... but having the older Force Powers that previously worked taken away? Other than that, thanks for making such a great game! I've only had it a short while, and already it has cost me much in caffeine to keep me alive (barely) at work, only to be able to find out where the game will take me next when I get home. BC
