  1. I don't know if anyone's noticed this, I'm playing the game with a DS consular, and I'm striving to keep my allies on the dark side.

But I swear that, whenever I quickload in-game(and yes, this is after quicksaving my progress and influence), the alignement of my allies always tends to shift back towards the light side, not much, but some, what the hell is that about. I thought only my actions could modify their alignements, this is as though their alignement shifts for nothing at all.

I know this game is really designed to be played by a goody two shoes character, but I'd just like to say that playing it DS requires that you watch your dialog and the way you conduct quests very carefully in order to maintain influence, your alignement and your allies alignements, it's a painstaking process that REALLY dosen't need to be insidiously ruined by some quirk or bug of the game.

Has anyone else experienced this ? it is most annoying, I don't know if this "LS pull" is a feature or a bug in the game, but I demand that it be cut out by the patch.

  2. When I completed the game with my LS consular, I managed to make Jedi out of everyone: Brianna, Atton, Bao-Dur, but I never managed to make Mira a jedi, she never gave me the options. Why is that ? it seems to me that making her a jedi is entirely possible, at least from what I read here it is. So I gotta be doing something wrong, can anybody tell me what it is ? I started the game again with a DS consular and this time, I wanna make sure everyone gets a lightsaber.

  3. I'd just like to know everyone's take on the order in which you visit planets, for my part, it was: Nar Shadaa, Dxun, Onderon, Dantoine and Korriban.

I'd just like to know if there's any great advantage at choosing another order.

  4. I'm looking for the real numbers here, between dueling and 2 weapon fighting, which do you think is better and for what class ?

I'v been thinking of playing my DS consular as a 2 weapon fighter, but somehow, I think it's better for him to use dueling.

What are the real advantages of each type of attack and what class benefits most from either, I'd just like to have the opinion of someone who's done the math.

  5. So far I crashed once or twice (in at least 50 hours of gameplay), and I've seen some peculiar graphical artifacts inside the Ebon Hawk, and that's about the extent of it. Another interesting fact, the game runs better with all the graphical options turned to the max, thats probably because the game was designed to run like that.

Frankly, Kotor 2 classifies as a bug-free game, and I can't imagine most of the complaints I hear. Come to think of it, this far less buggy then Kotor ever was, even patched, there was one bug in particular which was sure to crash the game on a quick-load, it was just a matter of when it would happen, the patch never fixed it, neither did anything else, the good thing was it kept me on my toes on the quick saving

  6. I got a PS2, (dosen't everybody), but I never play with it. Trouble is the interface. Give me a console with a keyboard and mouse that I can plug in a high rez monitor, and yes I will play it. I do understand why we gotta stick with those damn controlers and I'm through bitchin about that.

Also, I too see much more interest in PC titles because they are much more adult. And another thing, I have nothing but respect for the japanese people, but I always consider it a blessing to see to greater part of PC gaming unblemished by the dreadful anime influence which plagues most console gaming (on most consoles anyway).

  7. BTW, who's the disciple ? I finished the game once, bumped into him down in the jedi enclave, but nothing else happened, he couldn't join me because all the spaces were filled in the selection window.

So what with this disciple, can he join your team ? if so, that means you don't get one of the other characters.

  8. Wait, are you saying that you can't train your people to be sith if you go DS and go out of your way to influence them ?

Because so far, I'm doing every effort to be a jerk and still keep up my influence with everyone to turn them all to the dark side. It's not always easy, in fact it's almost as though the game tends to pull them slightly to the light each time you reload, maybe it's because some characters can only have a limited DS alignement.

But now, if you're telling me that they won't want to train as sith even though I have alot of DS influence over them, I need to know while I'm not too far in the game. You'd think that if they were swayed to evil they'd be consistent and want to train as sith, but nooooo.

You know, this is what I hate about a game like this, or any RPG where you have the "evil" option: you sure do have the option to play it evil, but the fact remains that the game is really designed to be played by a "good" or at least neutral character, therefore, it's always much harder to play it evil, and as such, there are many things you can't do.

Hey, don't take my word for it, just look at the penalties for being a goodie two shoes: you won't make friends with Goto (who cares, you already got another expert droid), you won't hear HK's full story (but you still get a competent fighter) and you won't get alot of influence with Canderous (but he hasn't got much of anything to say anyway, plus he's not really a gameplay element if you ask me).

So don't you be telling me this game is tailored for you to be DS.
