I know the game just came out but since you’re known for consistently updating and adding new content to the last game, I thought I’d get a head and make the suggestion early. I think the Diabolical ironclad beetle would be a great addition to the game. Giving the opportunity to craft the tankiest armor and a new heavy tower shield Maybe even a weapon

Lancelin started following Rain Mechanic
-
Hey Obsidian! Was a huge fan of Grounded when it came out and loved all the creative mechanics introduced, but one thing I always felt could be fitting would be a system for Rain, and how dangerous the typically uninteresting weather pattern could be on a miniaturized scale. Design wise it could be rather simplistic, just a large shadow appearing across the map with the telltale bombardment sound applied, then a sudden splash that affects different sized insects in different ways, and also drop down two to three water droplets to drink from! Force players to need to seek shelter inside their built homes, or in caves or beneath objects, to avoid taking splash damage (Hah, pun) from the downpour. And like a few other things in Grounded, it doesn't have to be a one to one scale of ACTUAL rainfall, just enough to startle the player and make them need to rethink what they're doing until it's over in a minute or two Could say harm/kill most smaller insects, causing them to scatter. And only have a minor effect on medium/large insects, then colossal creatures would be completely unaffected. And imagining how hectic it could make the player if they're strayed too far from their home base to now seek out a safe spot that isn't infested with other insects sounds like it would be an awesome challenge to include, with an easy way of getting water early game in case a stockpile was running low.

The All Things Political Topic - What's Going On...?

https://www.whitehouse.gov/presidential-actions/2025/07/addressing-threats-to-the-us/ "Recent policies, practices, and actions of the Government of Brazil threaten the national security, foreign policy, and economy of the United States. Members of the Government of Brazil have taken actions that interfere with the economy of the United States, infringe the free expression rights of United States persons, violate human rights, and undermine the interest the United States has in protecting its citizens and companies. Members of the Government of Brazil are also politically persecuting a former President of Brazil, which is contributing to the deliberate breakdown in the rule of law in Brazil, to politically motivated intimidation in that country, and to human rights abuses. - Today

PrayingMantisTerry started following Add stalking AI to bugs
-
I think bugs are scary in this game, but aside from nearly flying out of my chair after accidentally running into a bug’s detection range and triggering the scary music, I think there should be some sort of way for the bugs to, like a lion, stalk their prey—especially the praying mantis and different spiders. Imagine how cool it would be (and admittedly scary) to get snuck up on by a spider or praying mantis. If you catch them stalking you, they could just switch back to the default AI. Also, mantises are pretty buggy—they keep getting stuck on the leaves when trying to jump down.

We both just purchased grounded 2 on steam for our pc's and we can't join any lobbies, I made a multiplayer lobby but my partner could not join me and then i tried it the other way around where she made a lobby but i can't join her either. Just keeps coming up with a an error message or a message saying connection lost. We havnt been able to play together since we bought the game. No matter what we do we cannot join each others game. we dont want to play this game solo. We got the game so we could enjoy it together. I also tried to play around with the NAT type and port forwarding to see if there was something that was blocking it. But couldnt find anything issues. Still cannot join any game sessions. Whats happening are they not allowing us to play multi? We are based in Australia. Ive seen so many yourubers play this game and with 4 players.

Buggies - glitching

how long ago did it die, it should Should go back to the nest or you could use the Bug wheel i forget what i did -
Hi, My apologies if both of these have already been addressed but I somehow trust this dev team enough to write in just in case. I have had recurring issues with both base attacks as well as the picnic table. In terms of the attacks I keep being "defeated" when the bugs assaulting (usually orc ladybugs) keep running away from my base during the attack and I cant do anything about it. once it kept going even when attacked so not too sure on this one. with the picnic table I have fallen through the cloth when climbing to the top and it just clips me to the lower more dangerous levels if not to my fall death multiple times. this has also happened once when i was somewhere above an anthill tunnel. hope no one else has had to deal with this but love the game and the direction its headed otherwise can't wait for what else y'all have in store! PS I'm hoping at this point it's in an optical disk at this point but the quick select wheel is teeny tiny even in a game about being shrunk. lets get the old one that was actually useful back.

Context While playing Grounded 2, I noticed some bugs seem to be part of related species groups. For example: Attacking a Stinkbug causes nearby ****roaches to become hostile. Attacking a Ladybug triggered aggression from a nearby Butterfly. This inspired two separate armor system ideas. These are independent — either could be implemented on its own. Option 1: Mixed Armor Set Bonuses Currently, wearing 3 pieces of the same armor grants a full set bonus. The suggestion is to add secret synergy bonuses when wearing specific mixed armor combinations. Wearing 1–2 pieces from related bug families (e.g., 1 Ladybug + 2 Butterfly) could trigger unique passive bonuses. Bonuses are only unlocked through specific armor combinations, encouraging experimentation. Keeps set mixing viable without breaking full-set benefits. No specific bonus ideas yet, just the base system concept. Option 2: Familial Team Set Bonuses If multiple players in a group wear full armor sets from bugs in the same insect family, they unlock team-based passive bonuses. Example: One player in Orb Weaver armor, another in Wolf Spider — both receive a shared bonus. Bonuses scale based on the number of players and whether their sets fall under the same bug category. Adds value to multiplayer coordination and set variety. Dev Notes Bonuses could be subtle (minor resistances, shared regen, etc.) to stay balanced. Promotes deeper armor crafting, team coordination, and experimentation. Does not interfere with existing full set mechanics. Just a system-level concept, no mechanics nailed down, mainly to explore ways armor sets could interact beyond individual bonuses. Thank you for reading to the end and considering this idea. I will be posting more suggestions. I love Grounded and Grounded 2, STAY TINY!

Idea: Add a new category of combat mutations called Fighting Stances, unlockable styles inspired by specific bugs. Each stance slightly alters how players fight and gives unique bonuses. Only one stance can be active at a time. System Overview Fighting Stances are unlocked by: Collecting gold cards for a group of related bugs Completing a challenge or ritual (e.g., eating a food, fighting a mini-boss, visiting a location) Each stance includes: A passive bonus A special combat trigger A unique attack animation set (can be minimal or visual-only to reduce dev strain) New “Stances” tab added under the mutations menu Stances are exclusive — only one can be equipped at a time Example Stances Spider Stance (rogue/agile style) Unlock: Gold cards for Orb Weaver, Wolf Spider, Tarantula Ritual: Eat a special spider dish at a web-covered shrine Special: On a successful dodge, the next attack triggers a 3-hit combo (like enraged Black Widow) Passive: Chance to apply poison on all attacks Animation: Low, stabbing, skittering movements Mantis Stance (fighter/tactical style) Unlock: Gold card for Mantis + 1 other mantid Ritual: Duel a spirit version of the original Mantis boss in a hidden location in the wall of the park. Special: Perfect block chains add stackable bleed. Attacking right after a perfect block triggers a counterattack with a small crit chance Passive: Slight crit boost; increased Poison Coating effectiveness Animation: Fast, slicing forearm-like strikes Dev Notes Animation needs can be kept minimal at first — reusing or slightly altering existing ones works Adds purpose to gold card collection and biome exploration Gives players soft class identity without adding gear complexity Future styles could include (Bruiser/Tank), Butterfly (Mage), and Something flying for Archer, (maybe just literally kung fu for fist that would be cool) Easily balanced since it’s isolated from weapons and armor Why It Works Gives long-term players more depth Encourages bug study and full biome exploration Fits the theme and tone of Grounded 2’s world Can be expanded slowly without major system overhauls Thank you for reading to the end and considering this idea. I will be posting more suggestions. I love Grounded and Grounded 2, STAY TINY!

One thing I really like about the wolfsbane fangs daggers is the venom coating on the ends of them. A little detail that I would love to see added to them is a little dripping effect while holding them. Nothing crazy, just subtle enough to where you can still notice it. I think it would be a nice touch and look sick.

Missing primary save from shared world

Yeah mine was doing the same but it wouldn’t even let me create a shared copy from the game. It says it has to be done from the main menu, but I can’t do that. -

Hi im having the same issue however my buggy died and I cant recall it anyway to save my save file. I also dont have a previous file before its death so cant do it that way either -
I’m doing the step that says “Defeat the O.R.C. guards at the Berry Stash”. I killed one of the bees, but the other one I shot with an arrow. It flew back higher into the sky. Didn’t have any way to reach it so I shot it again. It got pushed even higher into the sky. With no way to reach it I started building a huge staircase. Couldn’t get height enough to it. Went into photo mode and hit the ceiling and the bee is even higher than the limit. There are no other bugs to kill, I’ve looked all around the area. But I can’t progress in the story now and there aren’t any game repairs to bring the bee back. Please help, thanks!

The Omnitool is really convenient in fact I love it but I'd like something that I can carry around and swing I think the option to carry around tools, even to your own peril, would be nice maybe I'll get used to it but it just doesn't feel the same I don't know I'm loving the game though keep it up : )

I've only played the game a bit, but I'm really liking what I see so far! I'm not gonna bother giving feedback about Unreal Engine 5, I wish this game used another engine but it is what it is and I can at least get the game to run at a steady 60fps with maxed out settings, tho I did have to "lower" my resolution to a measly 3840*1080. Sarcasm aside, here is my actual feedback and bug reports so far! PC Specs: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX 32GB DDR4 @ 4000MTs 1TB NVMe Samsung 970 EVO Plus --- General Feedback: I absolutely love the more realistic look to the graphics. I wasn't sure if I preferred a more cartoony look or not, but I think this realism is way better, it's beautiful even! I'm also impressed with the early 32:9 aspect ratio support so far. I haven't had to do any of my usual AAA fixes to get UI elements to scale properly so thank you for keeping this feature working. --- Bug - General - Options - Keybinds - My crouch and dodge hotkeys got swapped back to default despite every other hotkey I changed staying the same when I reloaded my save file from yesterday by hitting Single Player and then Continue and double-clicking on my save file or hitting Enter to load it. --- Bug - Typo - Mutation Loadouts - Sharpshooter - "A film crawls across your eyes as you to focus with deadly clarity. Charged shots gain critical hit chance." --- Bug - General - Loadscreen - Loadscreen image crops the top half when using 32:9 resolution --- Bug - General - Gameplay - Gathering - Many gatherable objects will slide underneath the terrain surface as well as decoration objects like rocks and other plants, making them unable to be picked up as they sometimes fall behind collision.
