Not one point, one stage. Gain Bewitching Ally, Academic Ally, Celestial Ally, etc.

I'm playing through this time with Reinhart as my sidekick. I utterly adore him-- he's so adorkable! I'm not through yet, but I've gotten him to the second tier of influence. I'm about halfway through Stonebridge-- killing my way through the foundries. This isn't exhaustive, but what I remember:

Side with Hans over Baron Barrenbaron (if I spelled that right)
Ask Roslyn: "You were there?" when she tells you she saw the Radiant Youth
Tell Roslyn you'll spare Jeyne
Ask Jeyne if she's willing to talk in the Glitterdelve Mines
Defeat the warbeast
Side with Marten in telling the truth about the Legion
Tell Odo Roslyn will make a good queen
Suggest negotiation when Odo asks what to do next
Have Reinhart with you when you defeat Ehregott

I wish I could remember the initial influence opportunity, but I've gone blank.

So far as I can tell, three Reinhart influence opportunities in the Foundry (I'm at the third stage of influence):

Tell cyclops leader "We were defending ourselves."
Side with Fiddlewick-- "The cyclopses have rights."
Refuse the reward from Olbert for saving his men.

And after the Dapper Old Gent battle and justice for the Legion quests:

Tell the Gent "Not all the people were guilty."
Take custody of the Gent
Tell the Meisters, "We'll respect your decision."
Tell Pratz that a sincere apology is enough
Choose not to prosecute Wenzel

I maxed out Lucas. Some of the dialogue choices felt kind of odd for him to gain influence with. The Cyclops/Ironmongers one, for instance, seemed to go contrary to his personality. :ermm:

That's really interesting. When I played with him and maxed his influence, I still sided with the cyclopses. I can almost see the logic behind his stance: he's nobility with old-fashioned ideas about oaths and values. He'd see a contract, no matter how old, as an oath that can't be broken and an obligation, just as he's still obligated to the Legion and its ideals.

More for Reinhart at Spire Bailey:

Choose "Jeyne doesn't know you're here," when the archons greet you.
Agree to spare Jeyne and the other archons: "Agreed-- no killing"
Free Fitch in the Spire dungeon

When you first speak to him when you decide the fate of the krug. When talking about how the people of Stonebridge killed the old Legionnaires there's an option you can pick along the lines of forgiving people for their mistakes and letting go of the past.

Thanks for that! This playthrough, I'm Reinhart, so I'd have missed that one for good. Here's a consolidated list of influence opportunities for Reinhart (and I'm not sure if I missed any after the Spire), including yours:

Influence Reinhart:

When you first speak to him when you decide the fate of the krug. When talking about how the people of Stonebridge killed the old Legionnaires there's an option you can pick along the lines of forgiving people for their mistakes and letting go of the past. (Thanks, frustratemyself!)

Tell Jeyne in the first confrontation in the Spire, "Surrender."

Can you max out the influence bar with any of the companions? And other than statistical bonuses, does having high influence with someone actually do anything (ie. learn more about their story, etc.)?

Yes, I maxed out Lucasīs bar when playing as Anjali, and Reinhartīs when playing as Lucas. But I doubt itīs possible to max out more than 1 companion, since you can have just one active during the conversation...unless you play the game a lot of times and know by heart which conversation options AND in which situations there are influence gains for EACH of your companions...
By the way, influence over your companions grants you stat bonus but does not change gameplay. So the influence bonuses are as follows: Lucas-> Stamina, Anjali-> Attack, Reinhart-> Will and Katarina-> Agility.
As a rule of thumb, Reinhart and Lucas are influenced by the same choices except that Lucas is less forgiving. Anjali behaves like an executioner and Katarina prefers avoiding violence, being as diplomatic as possible.

Depends on what you mean by "max out." For filling up the influence bar, no, only one. But for obtaining the maximum stat bonuses, you definitely can. Reinhart maxes quickly, as does Lucas toward the end of the game. I've filled out Lucas' bar completely and obtained "Doctorate of Friendship" from Reinhart.

A couple more Reinhart opportunities I missed:

When Kassel tells you about the Stonebridge Foundry, tell him, "You're arrogant."
When Yamas tells you to destroy parts of the Stonestream, tell him, "I'd rather not."

Updating on the "max out" thing: I did manage to completely max Lucas and Reinhart my last playthrough. Not sure if it's possible for any other combo, though. We'll see if I can max both Kat and Reinhart this playthrough.

I suppose thatīs because Lucas and Reinhart have roughly the same ideals (well Reinhart is more soft-hearted though). Most of the answers you give to please Anjali and Katarina are quite the opposite of those you give to the dudes.

What I meant to say is that choosing an "optimistic" response wil have a chance to please *either* Lucas or Reinhart. You canīt have both as companions in the same conversation. A "blunt" response is more likely to please Anjali than any other.
