I've even re-installed my windows 7 (formating the hard drives) to test if the problem was my pc, but the delay are still there x_x
I don't think its my comp. I am running AP with a Phenon x4, 6gb ram and a gforce 9800gt

My system runs the game fine, except for the Clearinghouse is so Laggy and causes FPS go down to single digits.
Yes I have the latest audio and video drivers.

Every time I browse the clearinghouse I get amazing lag spikes, like when I buy anything it takes like 5 to 8 seconds of game freezing to actually buy the item, same thing when changing categories like from shotguns to rifles etc..

Try to use some settings shown in this post.
I had similar problem and after altering textures and shadows caching it seems that initially there is some lag in Clearing House after opening every section (when everything is loaded), but after caching every section opens a lot smoother. Disc defrag helped a lot for me too for enormous lag after clicking "Buy" button. It's still present but not so annoying any more.
It seems that there's some terrible problem with accessing files and HD management by the game. I wonder if anyone with proper system and good amount of RAM could experiment with moving whole game into created RAM disk and check if that improves anything.
As a start I would compare disk access speeds between Kasabian and people who have issues with lag spikes.

Also FYI: turning everything OFF under advanced won't do jack to help this problem either.
This is not tolerable.

Have you made ini tweaks to decrease the texture pop-up? Weapons, when selected first show their mesh, then get re-textured later. If done all at once, it would make more sense for each individual item to take longer to load in.
As usual; make sure your disk is defragmentated (C:/ and the drive where installed if not C:/) and have the latest drivers, aside from a large cachefile size for programs (and of course enough free space on the disk to support this, 2Gb should do). Does it still happen then?
Also, have you applied the ini tweaks against mouse-stuttering in the FAQ stickied on top (not the tweaks posted in this thread)?

Still this thing needs optimized better or ways to optimize it with better gui. My desire to tweak ini files is NIL.

My C: drive is kept as a system partition and I do not install games to it. My hard drives get optimized every night while I'm sleeping. I have 3GB ram system, intel e6600 core2duo, 1GB 4850 ATI vid card, win 7, 16gb Ramboost, 6gb HD cache. Not trying to brag, just pointing out that AP shouldn't hurt my system.
Also I had alter the audio found in the 5.1 fix thread, but have since gone to using Alchemy instead.
I recommend to anyone trying the optimizations given in the above link. AP performed a whole lot better.

Switching between items on the same list has become quicker, but switching lists and buying items still have extremely long wait times. Also, in-game lag occurs, possibly at an even more frequent rate (every time I fire a burst from my AR, the game stutters)
It is almsot to the point where I'm goign to stop playing this game, which is a shame because the story and characters are all very interesting (I really like Sis and that russian chick with the SAW Machinegun (don't know her name yet))

EDIT: Gamepaly remains unaffected, still major lagging when entering a new room or when in a gun fight, which is kind of a bad thing considering thats a majority of what you do in this game

But then windows update kicked in, and shutdown my computer to update. When it restarted, Alpha protocol wouldn't run, so I reinstaled it, and everything worked well....
Until i got to clearinghouse. I needed ammo for the assault rifle, and i found out (the hard way) that it would take almost 3 minutes to buy 200 rounds.
Maybe it is a update in windows that causes it.
