Taking into account bugs which are being worked on anyway, this game has sucked me into an enthralling world. Many improvements on the last POE, love the character building. The resource combat overhaul is refreshing for me (no per rests).

Gaming execs know that they have to revolutionise the gameplay mechanics, and I think Deadfire has made tremendous progress towards that. I'm glad they didn't sacrifice too much of a classic form to just soak up more sales, but I think in this case Obsidian has found balance, and will continue to maintain it with upcoming patches.

The game is fun with the multiclassing and the per rest change.

But all in all so far, to me, this is a massive downgrade from PoE1.

 

All tactical challange in combat you could find in PoE1 is completely gone. So cdombat is much much worse in this game. This is also takes away from the fun of exploring multiclassing.
