How do I find dismissed characters?

I'm new here so hello everyone.

 

I dismissed Eder on the beach at the beginning of the game. He disappeared and can't find him anywhere. Any idea where he might be?

Probably went back to the Dyrwood to become an alcoholic.

I'd guess if you wanted to keep him available you would have to take him along until you got your ship ? Meanwhile you can always build a replacement at a tavern.

Oh well, I guess I'll have to contend with the other characters. I'm too well into the game to start again. lol

I just assumed it would be like all the other games of this type. You dismiss characters that you can pick up again later if you so wish.

Restarted. Glad I did. Eder is an integral part of the storyline imo. Also without him my party felt like a red carded football team playing with 10 men.
