Was this tested with windowed GSync at all? Hard Windows crashes...

Question

Hi,

I'm getting hard Windows crashes when trying to run this windowed with GSync. I think I have an idea of what's happening but I wanted to confirm whether this use case had been tested at all prior to release...

I'm running the game off of a spinning drive (I only have so much space on my boot SSD) and the engine doesn't really seem to have a concept of "load times" -- it just hangs the app whenever IO is bottlenecked. I noticed Battletech doing this too last month so I'm assuming it's an issue with the current version of Unity. Pretty jank in my opinion and I hope it's been flagged upstream but it wouldn't be a problem by itself, the issue is that, when running windowed, the app hanging means the window loses focus, and because this is *not caught by the engine at all* it seems to sometimes happen multiple times in very quick succession during area transitions and the like. Now that I've disabled GSync that seems to only lead to the game itself crashing (like, hourly) at worst, but when I was running GSync, this was *hard crashing Windows* -- I'm assuming the Nvidia driver doesn't like a GSync app effectively locking up several times a second while trying to load.

Please let me know if you can duplicate this -- I don't *think* my combination of GSync + playing the game windowed + regular hard drive should be terribly exotic, I don't think there's anything else unique about my system, and it seems to be extremely unstable. It might be that this is a Unity bug and all you can do is report it upstream, but I'd love to have that at least confirmed and reported.

Thanks!
