Zap Gun For Hire Posted May 9, 2018 Posted May 9, 2018 (edited) Okay, I'm not sure exactly which section to put this in, but since it isn't a bug per se, I'll put it here. I'd like to request a feature that allows us to either skip ahead straight to the conversation with the Pallid Knight (presuming the conversation has some sort of in-game consequence PAST the non-standard GAME OVER option), or bypass it altogether when creating a character. Don't get me wrong, on the first couple of playthroughs it's very immersive. But when I'm attempting to try out various new things at the beginning of the game, having to wade through that non-skippable intro can get to be a slog. clickclickclick listenlistenlisten clickclickclick I just want to be able to create my new character! Everything past the conversation with the Knight but before the PC "wakes up" is fine, I guess, as that's not very long (though being able to skip that as well might be nice). But the long walk before hand? Not so much. Not the biggest complaint in the world. But as someone who likes to tinker at the start of games, the time adds up. Thanks in advance for considering this, if you do, Obsidian. Edited May 9, 2018 by Zap Gun For Hire
Mikeymoonshine Posted May 9, 2018 Posted May 9, 2018 (edited) It's a bit tedious with that slow walking part but the ammount of complaining i've heard about this you would think it was as bad as ME3's opening cut scene and dream sequences. Is it possible to just save before you sit at the table? Edited May 9, 2018 by Mikeymoonshine

Is it possible to just save before you sit at the table? Nope. If it was, I wouldn't have started this topic. --- I also think part of it is... It's kinda boring on the nth playthrough. It's literally clickclickclick listenlistenlisten clickclickclick. Great for establishing mood. And when I really want to be immersed, I'll be glad it's there. But if I want to try out various things at the start of the game? Or just get on with it? Not so much. In short, it's great for role play. Not as much for game. Having it there is great for the former. Being able to bypass it by choice would be nice for the latter. Edited May 9, 2018 by Zap Gun For Hire
