Spiritshift and Two Weapon Style

Featured Replies

Hi for those who've done the testing, I've read that Monks automatically get the benefit of Two Weapon Style with their fists. Is this also true of Spiritshift and claws, or do I need to pick up the ability myself?

Don't know where you read that but it's nonsense.

Monks don't get Two Weapon Style automatically.

You will always have to pick it.

Reddit, mostly. I am not entirely surprised that they were wrong.

I appreciate the clarification.

I think the confusion is that one of the wikis specified that Spiritshift (save for Fury) was considered dual wield. People probably thought it meant "hey, we get the Dual Wield Ability!"

This quote came from the fextralife wiki for deadfire. (not linking it directly as I'm not sure if that is a faux passe on the forums).

The quote is of course

  • When Spiritshfited, the Druids Weapons are replaced with the Weapons of the animal it shifted into, and is always 2 One-Handed Weapons, except in the case of the Fury, where it's Two-Handed.

The quote is correct.

Once you use two one-handed weapons you automatically dual-wield. That gives  -30% recovery time to be more precise. That is not an ability but automatically happens once you grap two weapons. Same with one handed usage: gives you +12 ACC automatically. Only two handers gain nothing special when you pick them up.

Two Weapon Style is an ability and you have to pick it. It goves you additional -20% recovery time (beta) or -15% (final game).
